Best news so far
Aug 21st, 2010 at 8:16pm

McKew has been kicked to the curb.

I was horrified when she announced that she would campaign as an ALP member, of course it merely confirmed that she had always been campaigning for the alp during her time as a "journalist".

Members of the media should always be impartial but of course as we know they are invariably way off to the left.

Excellent to see the voters turf her out, she should never have had the temerity to run.

That's fantastic.

The biggest waste of an MP there has been in years.

She looks inept even when compared to a clown like Garrett.

LMAO, "the temerity to run"????
You bumbling oaf, how soon you forget, it was SHE, who unseated a sitting Liberal Prime Minister, god bless her.
She will always have a place in the hearts of good people who were able to witness such an ignoble ejection from the house for a sitting PM who was so deceitful that he chose to lie to his deputy instead of having the good grace to leave while he could have done so with at least some dignity left intact, but to actually lose both government for his members, and his own seat on the same day, well that was Karma, big time.

Farewell Maxine, you did what was needed, when it was needed most.

I see McPhew is already spitting bile, which should be a precursor to what will happen within the labor party.

With their pathetic primary, watch them self implode from the inside

In her time at the ABC, Maxine Mckew was always a blatantly ALP biased "journalist", as is Kerry O`Brien, Lee Sales and Tony Jones to name a few.   We are paying theses parasites to practice their pathetically unprofessional prejudice.

These people have no integrity, or professional pride.  They are low, sniffers of other people`s bottoms.

well maybe he wil actually be SEEN in the elecorate unlike the invisible woman McWho. maybe he has the brains and ability to be more than a backbencher. He has made more intelligent political comments in one interview than the embarrasment that was McClueless in nearly 3 years.

When the leader admits to "Stretching the truth" one can only expect that the followers would do likewise.

Tony wants you all to jump in the ocean and drown yourselves so as not to embarrass him for when he eventually talks long enough to actually say something sensible or truthful.

Don't like this post? It's about on-par with the crap that most of you are posting here just to make yourselves heard - rather than contribute anything sensible.

All this place is, is a place to rant - not many of you are convincing me it's otherwise. Time to grow up people, because Australia will need you when you do.

McKew offerred nothing to the parliment than getting rid of Howard.

With the exception of that, she offerred nothing.

Does anyone know how Garrett and Wong went since the insulation was a nightmare and the ETS no more?

Both returned although why Garrett wasn't turfed I have no idea.
As for Wong I think she is an impressive senator and does well with the cards she's dealt.

Let me ask you something.

Assuming that the Coalition wins government and assuming that they WILL bankroll their $6b NBN project, and assuming that you REALLY do know what would be involved with the infrastructure side of the roll out, and assuming that 4 people get killed (for whatever reason) while the Coalition NBN is being rolled out.

Would Tony Abbott and the Coalition be responsible for those deaths?

Yes or no?

It's precisely that level of born-to-rule arrogance that could cost Abbott his tilt at the ultimate head job...

Abbott cleary thinks that he's the Messiah - and his attack-dog modus operandi is an impediment to harmonious and stable governance...

Hint: he's divisive and dogmatic and he doesn't to collaboration and co-operation very well at all!

The media has been very silent on Garrett. It's a miracle that he's retained his seat. If Labor manage to be returned - I can't see him being part of a new cabinet.

The media has been very silent on Garrett. It's a miracle that he's retained his seat. If Labor manage to be returned - I can't see him being part of a new cabinet.

I hope not. The reason he got re-elected was his personality and the fact that it's a safe ALP seat. Definitely not that fact that he has a clue, because he doesn't.
