Erinn Swan

DEPUTY Prime Minister Wayne Swan's wife Kim and daughter Erinn have been involved in a run-in with political opponents at a Brisbane polling station.

They were upset to find a Liberal National Party volunteer putting up signs where Labor Party material had once been at Kedron State School in his seat of Lilley this morning.

"I didn't see him take stuff but he was putting material up where ours had been. He had a utility but I wasn't awful enough to say can I go and have a look in your car," Mrs Swan said.

But Liberal National Party volunteers accused the pair of aggressively confronting them about flyers being handed out with how-to-vote cards.

One of the volunteers said: "They said the pamphlets were illegal and then tried to snatch them."

Erinn Swan, 25, said: "We were under the impression it was illegal to hand out material with how to votes.

"So I took a picture of them, but they took pictures of me all morning."
