To the 19th and 20th Australian Soldier in the Afghan Civil War, that the Liberal Party forced Australia in to ... and Labor continues.

A 35 yr old father of two ... and a young kid of 21.

What a waste.

Labor have blood on their hands from having knifed PM Rudd just short of him completing his term.

In other words, they decide who may be our PM, not us, irrespective of whether we voted for him or not.

I can tell you now, had Gillard ran for PM in 2007, I would have taken my chances with the Liberal party even though I had become rather disenchanted with their war-effort towards the end, and wanted Costello to run in Howards place.
I think Rudd was Labors conservative clatance  a "Howard" prop, the Howard you vote for when you are tired of the old one.

Labor tricked us into thinking that finally, they had evolved and become a more conservative,  capable of being responsible with our economy, when in fact, they were Left-wing communists in Liberal clothing all along, had no intentions of being conservative or delivering any of their pre-electoral pie-crust promises.

...easily made, easily broken.

. ... Hindsights a wonderful thing, never again will I even consider voting Labor , not after the mess they have made of our country.

Had Costello been leading the Libs party in 2007, I would have without a doubt, voted for him...(and not Rudd)...but given a choice between Howard or Gillard, I would have stuck with Libs.

They cheated us out of the PM we voted for, not that he was anything to write home about...but he like all their PM's are transient and the party itself rather dysfunctional.

Labor don't deserve a second term, given they failed to deliver across a number if not all key-policy areas last election.

Or had we forgotten?

How can we trust a party who steals others partys policies?

Obama called, apparently he wants his back!

Cool

Due to the recent divide in the Greens party, there's a good chance Labor will be deeply effected vote-count wise, and in crucial areas.

Many Greens members not at all being in favour of a Labor party.

Hence the divide!

Have the recent polls taken into consideration the recent divide in the Greens party, preference wise?

Cool

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/disunity-growing-in-the-greens/...

I might be mistaken, but I dare say some of them wont be preferencing in accordance with how Big Bob had hoped they would.

Cool Looks like they are now even rebelling against their own rebellious party even, and honestly, who could blame them.

Their preferencing Labor is hypocritical in itself, given Bob Brown himself insists the preference system should be abolished.

In other words, he doesn't agree with preferences, but he needs to look out for himself, so will turn a blind eye to it all the same.

If he had an ounce of integrity, he would have preferenced both Libs and Labs equally, or near equally, give and take a mutual policy or two.

At least then, his blatant hypocrisy would have been fair.

No Vanessa, the terrorists trying to hold the world to ransom have blood on their hands. And former American Governments for training them and letting them loose in the first place.

lol, no wonder the troppo set from the banana bender state thought they had it in the bag, those heat deranged nits have bought into Abbotts line of bull, so THANK GOD for we Victorians who have already delivered 2 extra seats to Labor, which may just be enough to see them hang on.
Fingers crossed.

When ever asked if I was an Aussie when I lived overseas, I would say, yes, but added that more importantly, I was a Victorian.

Proud to say that Melbourne has also delivered the seat of Melbourne to the Greens, which makes me also proud to be a native of a community with enough brains, to recognise their is also value in compassion.
These good citizens rejected Abbott's climate science denialism, and his xenophobic hate mongering against refugees, so well done to them for voting Greens and sending that message to Canberra.

I have been commenting on the yahoo news, which is unbelievably edited and censored. I will present the comment part a) was permitted b) not

a) "I just watched the Hockey impromptu speech on CH 9. Very interesting. What he said in the emotion of the moment, without forethought and choreography."

b)"He was excited at the prospect of upheaval and chaos within the Labor Government and the thought that the Liberals would gain Government next election. There was no mention or concern about Australia or Australia's future, rather Glee at a dysfunctional government which will harm Australia.** Think about what was shown when the facade slipped**"

The party who was in power and the chief architect of what was done to Pauline Hansen (Love her or hate her-that is unimportant ) it is the character and ethics that were displayed and exposed. The point is the illegal, unethical, immoral fraudulent actions taken by the liberal government spearheaded by Tony Abbot - a man who claims to be a christian. Even the judge that overturned the verdict was disgusted, fraud, perversion of the course of justice, was there also perjury. All to get rid of a nuisance. with the development of their guided democracy, what means will they use, and can you be certain that you will not be considered a problem at some point. ?

The message they are sending to Canberra is that no matter how much of a lisping, raging homo you may be, the people of Melbourne are right behind you, pretending to be tree huggers but in fact checking out your arse.
