Clearly, the Australian Institute of Directors forum is representative only of the elite, incorporated and stockmarket-listed few

That's an incredibly blinkered view of looking at an Institute with hundreds of members.

Plus also those members make decisions in their companies which afffect millions of Australian workers.

Reasonably influential people I would say.

I managed to sneak an invite though despite being neither an Australian worker nor a Director in Australia!
Glad I went though.

LOL...some of us can actually discern the material difference betwixt 'representative' and 'influential'...

Moreover, as ye and me well know: the 'decisions' made by the born-to-rule 'hundreds' are shamelessly self-serving and therefore they detrimentally "afffect" (sic) 'millions of (vulnerable) Australian workers' and their families...

Roll Eyes

and yet somehow we have the combo of the most desirable place on earth to live, the best economy in the world, one of the highest wages and we even have arguably the best weather. somewhere, shoehow these 'shamelessly self-serving' people managed to self-lessly serve the rest of the country as well!

accident or design?

either way, you are wrong.

Ah yes, the one and the same person who failed to complete her time at university, dropped out and has vengefully slated anyone and everything on above the minimum wage.

Until we are all living in communes and on base level necessities only, this woman will not be happy.

I think they call them the 'lunatic fringe'.

High on noise, low on credibility.

When was I ever not polite?!
I will buy the self-centred comment, admittedly I am guilty of that at times.
That's been the case for decades though and I am far from alone on that one.

Will people be voting today on issues and how it affects them?

Those are your opinions.
Australia is certainly a very nice place and I am enjoying visiting again.

BUT - it is not the best place to live IN MY OPINION.

If you wanted to go outside of opinions it is also not rated the best place in the world to live either.
I believe both Norway and Switzerland are above Australia?

In economic terms, Kuwait has a higher standard of living and GDP per person as well?

If we're being picky.

If you want to add, 'in your opinion' then there is little wrong with your statements.

Before the election results start rolling in...
And harsh realities begin to set in...
I just wanted to do a humble mea culpa...
For basically anything and everything...
I have said and done in the heat of debate...
To piss off political allies, friends and foes...
Over the past several weeks and months...
Bravado aside, I don't harbour any ill will...
In short, I wholeheartedly apologise!
Peace and best wishes to one and all  Wink
