james - your ideals are good
IF the alp DID help the workers, that'ld be good.
they say they do, but they don't.

often people politically immaturely start of with the left.
As they mature and gain wisdom, they move to the right

the LIBS do more for the common worker

Exactly. I'll repeat what, I think it was Brendon Nelson? said, Liberal is more labor then they are now. I'm a lefty, hence the reason why I am going to join the labor party.

Really? ask yourself. Do these monkeys deserve another term? Scandal after scandal. Back stab after back stab. I'm sorry. I am dedicated to labor and I will be working hard to get them re-elected, but my heart won't be in it.

It should be about balance!

In the current system, there are excesses from day one, in both major Political party's.

That said, as time goes bye, the excesses of the various party's grow, as do the imbalances in the system, as those party's apply more party ideolgy, less common sense and greed becomes more pervasive.

The wash up, is that after a while it becomes pretty obvious (at least to me), that change is needed, as I believe it was in 1983, 1993 and around 2004, in the Federal arena.

In terms of NSW, it is difficult to see how Labor could be or should be re-elected at the next state election!

That is the same point of view that I am taking. As I said in another thread, I am thinking about skipping NSW and going straight to Young Australian Labor.
