the worst political judgement
Jul 19th, 2010 at 10:30am

This title has to go to Costello, the man who dummy spat after the last election, sat on the backbench not really wanting to go,and then when he did jump ship, everything changed.
I believe Labor are very lucky as its turned out, I think this election would be a real contest if Costello had the balls to hang around.
I wonder what he thinks?

I think you are right. We could have had, in true down-under,  upside-down spirit, a Costello &  Abbott partnership. Coulda been a hoot.

Yea but what do you think Costello is thinking sprint?
I'm sure six months ago Costello thought Rudd would be PM for ten years, Costello must be very pizzed off that he walked when he did.

Nah, a far worse judgement was the out-of-touch Lib powermongers - who replaced the user-friendly Malcolm Turnbull with the erratic extremist Tony Abbott!

I'd probably give my preferences to the Liberal party under a Costello leadership.

Yer, I too would have loved the media response to that scenario - just for a day...

As a liberal I would take Abbott over Turnbull anyday.  Turnbull almost gave us an ETS we can not afford, and he failed to put any pressure on Rudd at all.

Under Turnbull the election was going to be an ALP landslide, at least Abbott has given us a chance.  And Im hoping for a (abiet slim chance after hearing of the greens preferences today) victory to the Libs, with a handover to Hockey after about two years.

And why not, if you will permit me; why shouldn’t I, if you will permit me; spend my first week as prime minister, should that happen, on this, on your, country - Abbott with the Garma People Aug 13
