Dead Can Dance: Lisa Gerard is semi-retired now, living back in Melbourne raising her kids. She still does the odd Movie Soundtrack if requested by the likes of Hans Zimmer & Co. You may recognise her touch in the movie Gladiator for starters. She is constantly sought out by Trance-Ambient-Techno bands.
Brendon Perry returned to his childhood Ireland (raised as a New Zealander) and still produces in his Castle studio.
Pieter Bourke is still at large in the Music world.

Dead Can Dance have put Australian/New Zealand music on the 'Global Music Scene' (ie: not just UK/USA) with their versatile style in which they succeeded where Led Zeppilin failed in regards to getting that 'Global' touch. They are widely played around the world, beyond just the Uk/USa field...which is really Music making a guest appearance upon a Political show.
Because of Lisa's ability to transform mere sound into Song and transcend the limited use of the English Language (it is really designed for Politics, not Singing) - her plain looks just lend appeal to her versatile and quality voice. She can listen to traffic in a tunnel, process it, then translate it into a very wonderful peice of Song.
I could write a lot, but this is just a quick write-up.
My personal view is that Lisa Gerard is a National treasure, more so than Dame Joan Sutherland. You could go to Nepal, Morrocco, Germany, China, Bolivia, Botswana, Canada, Thailand, India, U.A.E, Israel and even into Fitzroy and Stewart Island and they could tell you who Dead Can Dance is (was).

No harm in crying for that clip (Host of the Seraphim) - it affects a lot of people in a lot of ways ...it makes me angry. That first scene with the poor Donkey reminds me of 3rd World Countries treatment of animals (The real children of a lesser god!) for an overloaded carriage of Politics in their countries.

Dead Can Dance's version of "The Carnival is Over" was a substantial hit in more than 30 countries (not just a collection of European nations to make up numbers) around the world. It hit big in Brazil and Argentina. You might recognise it from the closing ceremony of the 2000 Olympics.
