Actually Soren's conceptualising is so completetly in reverse that I like him  Grin Without Soren the blues would have no meaning.

Indeed. Compared to this, da blues done by a bozo in a bowler hat and vest has no meaning.

Longing.

Apparently, according to the doco on Black Sabbath a month or so ago, Toni Iommi(their lead guitarist) got a lot of inspiration from this guy as Tony also lost some fingers and realised that this guy having done it gave him the strength to try and continue himself!

Songs like 'Planet Carvan' also allowed him to explore this jazzy type of playing in his BLACK SABBATH environment!!

They were two jewish kids from North London, destined to meet up in New York. In the notes for 'Lioness' Mark Ronson speaks about interferring as Amy spiralled out of control with her success. "She called me 'the big sister I never wanted', he says. "Now I hate myself for not interferring enough."

I know Soren will chide me, but I love this song, just because it brings a smile to my face.
Music is like sex in some ways, the more you enjoy it, the greater the chance that those you share it with will enjoy it too, and it sure as hell is never going to be reduced to a homework like chore, where it has to be broken down and analysed, and assimilated via the opinions of elitist snobbery.

I'm listening to The Military Wives Choir.

Each of the 100 members of this choir, which was put together by choirmaster Gareth Malone, has a husband or boyfriend serving with the British Armed Forces in Afghanistan. Their song, "Wherever You Are", which was released yesterday, is based on the letters that some of the wives and girlfriends received from their husbands or boyfriends in Afghanistan and also the letters that the wives and girlfriends sent to their husbands or boyfriends in Afghanistan.

...
The Military Wives Choir celebrates success with Gareth Malone in London's Oxford Street

And the song, composed by Welsh composer Paul Mealor, is almost certain to be this year's Christmas No1. It is the fastest-selling single in Britain for six years, having sold 300,000 copies after just two days on sale. It is outselling the release by this year’s X Factor winners, the girl band Little Mix, by a ratio of 100 to one.

And, on Remembrance Sunday, the Military Wives performed their song in front of the Queen and other members of the Royal Family at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Proceeds from the sales of the single will go to The Royal British Legion and SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) Forces Help.

That's the way, Mozza. I admire your bravery. Until we stand united in our efforts to overthrow the cultural tyranny of Lord Farquard, we can not know musical freedom!

We must fight with the weapons we have. He will crumble under the might of Steve McQueen, Gregory Colbert and Charles Bukowski.
