I saw PIL in around 82 or 83. They get on stage and the gobbing begins. Within 30 seconds or so John under the lights looks like hes covered in spider webs from all the spit thats running down him.

The gobbing didn't stop but they still played on.

Two sets - first was PIL stuff - the second was pistols covers.

Good show - getting covered in gob was half the fun.

It was a hunt to find things that were decent. For some of us, the only saving of the 80's was the paisley underground scene and the garage revival. Otherwise, it was a bit of a chore.
