Er.. the mods didn't remove your avatar. The site it was hosted on obviously did. If the mods here had removed it, they wouldn't have left behind the image that's in its place now.

Oh please. That makes way too much sense. Of course the mods have a personal vendetta against poor Mellie.

Vendetta?   pmsl... no, I was merely curious as to whether I had unwittingly breached this boards TOS, given I had used my actual/real image.

This and just wanted to alert this sites mods to the obvious fact that I was not aware this was a breach of TOS when I put it up.

If this is the case, then again my apologies.

Cool

Hey Mellie, your avatar seems to be cyber-touting for a re-size  Roll Eyes

...

BTW, I don't know what it was - had you recently changed it from Gillrudd to something more controversial!?

Lamenting the shift in the Australian psyche, away from the egalitarian ideal of the fair-go - and the rise of short-sighted pollies, who worship the 'Growth Fairy' and seek to divide and conquer!

Check again! The mods here wouldn't have removed that avatar - it was harmless.

If they haven't gone - then you've obviously uploaded the others from a different source.

Not a problem Mantra, if I put another up, I'll be sure to use one which is compliant with this boards format.

Yes, your image violated the TOS for being a "real" image. That's why Freediver's is still up.

Lol Super-size me mantra.... Grin

I'll do it some other time, I'm supposed to submit something I have written by 5pm today....and still haven't edited it.

I will get that done first, then come back later on if I have time.

It's only 500 words, shouldn't take me more than 30 or so mins...an hour max!

Smiley  Oh, btw, are you mantra from Cracker.com.au?

If so, long time no see/post.

Again, my apologies, I had no idea we weren't supposed/allowed to use our real images, avatars, omg, the thing was so small, I could barely recognise myself in that avatar pic anyway..... Roll Eyes

Anyway no harm done, (plenty of vomit bags to go round)...but I really got to go now.

Did you upload the image yourself?

It was working fine yesterday, but again, don't go to any bother trying to figure out why it doesn't work today (I'm not bothered by it),  Roll Eyes

Admittedly, it's got me curious, but not enough to delve into why it's been removed.

Smiley Over and done with!

Mellie, I doubt if it is a violation of the TOS, but I'm happy to be corrected. If the site where you have the original doesn't support remote hosting, then it won't show on here.

It's probably just a question of resizing so that it meets the default  size guidelines.  I have a site that uses similar Yabb software, actually a slightly later model, and I relaxed the size rules so that user avatars could be bigger.

As far as the image itself is concerned, I though it was beautiful (and I don't give compliments)

It's a fact that I think that.  Grin

Degustibus non est disputandum.

I'd put it to a poll, but mellie might be embarrassed.

Skippy, we have been through this before, you do not have the right to declare someone a liar, it is offensive behaviour, especially over things that are very often matters of perception.
The interest rates one is a good example, mellie was correct, they have risen, and so therefore you should admit that fact, and then highlight what you think is the relevance of them being lower than under various other governments at different times.

In future please try and say that you disagree, without using insulting language, it isn't necessary.

If flame wars start I will delete the lot of it, so try to keep it nice, pretty please. Grin

Thats your opinion mozz, mellie likes to tell untruths, I ask her for proof, she never supplies it.
She's a female version of boofy.

Now then, lets hope this one sticks.

...I was getting rather bored with the Gillrudd pic anyway, and Kevin Rudd is definitely one individual who should never grow his hair, this or dye it red.

Grin.....

Oh and as for the image being too large, or the pic hosting sites software conflicting with this boards, I would agree, if it weren't for this site originally hosting it,(was working fine).. this and the resized pic itself is still hosting satisfactorily on another forum, so.... I doubt this is the rational. The only thing I can think of is that the picture hosting site spontaneously enlarged the resized image themselves, which I doubt, as it's still the same last time I checked.

Just one of those things I guess...and like I said, not to worry, I have a rather uncontroversial avatar now, is this one ok?

Wink Lets hope so.

And yes Mantra, i'm a real Mel,(never mind the "THE" ) and  wasn't aware there were fake Mels getting about... Grin

Mel is a common nick-name, so I'm sure there are plenty of other "real" Mels posting on other boards also.

And thanx muso, re- liking my pic, you are a minority here it appears Grin

I normally pass around vomit-bags to go with you see.... Wink

Again, sorry if I broke some sort of Ozpolitic code/rule, I had no idea that I had when I posted my pic as my avatar.

Undecided

Yes, right you are, I would be very embarrassed if you did this for I feel embarrassed enough that I "illegally" posted it here to begin with, and thought that it would have been too tiny for anyone to be able to determine much of anything really... other than the fact that I am white with brown hair and own a cream jacket..lol... so we might skip the poll thingy...*cringe*

...but thank you muso, I really am quite flattered that you liked my avatar.
