Hang on, folks...the latest Newspoll apparently 'interviewed' and 'weighted' the voting intentions of a total of 1147 Australia-Wide...

Tthey then produced separate tables for a total of 5 marginal seats in Qld and NSW - which begs questions as to the statistical reliability of at least the marginal data...

Are we to believe, that they polled a statistically significant number of people in each of these 5 electorates in the first instance!?

I, for one, would like to see the raw data...

Nem, as i am someone who lives in the Lindsay electorate, i will confirm that that result would be pretty much spot on. The only reason the ALP won in 2007 was due to boundary changes, which have now been changed back. The ALP candidate only moved up here last year from North Suburbs of Sydney and has no idea about the area. The ALP are toast next election.

Smiley

Not that either of us is biased or anything, Ima, but: as a person who is interested in statistical integrity, based on the data presented thus far, I don't trust the patently partisan Oz's analysis...

... you want LOL?

'...Liberal frontbencher Andrew Robb today told reporters it was his recollection Mr Abbott had told MPs their prospects had improved, but there was a way to go.

"It wasn't my recollection at all of the meeting," he said of Mr Abbott's "famous victory" comment.

The Coalition was still the underdog, Mr Robb said.

"I'm a great believer in the market and, you know, looking at the betting at the moment, we're still at $2.50 and the Labor Party's at $1.50.

"So we've still got a long way to go to realise any sort of victory at this next election." '

This cant be right, longweekend and Iamtheman said the Libs were winning and Labor were gone, LOL.
You watch all the rightards go back to not wanting to talk polls, its a media conspiracy, dontcha know, LOL.

On Friday of last week, the party’s national secretary, Karl Bitar, went to Rudd’s Parliament House office with internal party polling that showed just how bad the situation had become in marginal Queensland seats. He wanted to present the material to the prime minister himself. Remarkably, Rudd’s 31-year-old chief of staff, Alistair Jordan, didn’t allow that to happen.

He told Bitar to lock the polling away and show it to nobody.

LOL or what?

"The factions - and the unions - are back in control of the Labor Party - and that is the way that it had always operated up until Kevin07.

Rudd's only faction was the Newspoll faction. While it soared, he thrived. When it dived, he was all alone."
