Just contributed to another thread on yahoo last night called:
"School Curriculum Sudanese perspective"

See link:

It was deleted this morning.
You can't even mention the word Sudanese on Yahoo.

I just realised when I replied to the Laurie Oates thread by cktopsy.

Did he mean uncle Toby?

A long weekend in yahoo land?

In my opinion, they are on "McDonalds time", here for a short while?

Unless, they pick up their game, change their site substantially and start looking after their customers, both advertisers & posters, they will struggle!

I know it is a free site and that gives them a lot of power, but it is also an ADVERTISERS site who are getting ripped off. and the likes of bill-crany just screw it up for the rest of us.

Their incompetence, arrogance and total disregard for both users and advertisers is simply beyond belief.

Being a 'free' forum is NO excuse.

What we need to do is, when/if they re-open the boards, is to STAY AWAY. See if having NO posters opens their eyes a bit.

BTW, a quick check on their corporate page a few weeks ago, around the time these bullshit closures started, revealed that they were recently incorporated into another 'big business', who, I suspect, are behind this crap.

Speaking of the rabid right whingers on Yahoo...

It would seem that my thy.nemesis ID has been blacklisted in the last 24-odd hours - after surviving for over 2 1/2 years...

I'd only posted on few threads in the past couple of days - and those posts were remarkably benign...

It is that sort of pettiness that is causing people to gravitate over here...

Had you made any references to OzPolitic?

It's just possile that a bit of sensitivity is creeping into Yahoo, about OzPolitic!

I had made occasional reference to OzPolitic - but the timing of my demise does not seem to correlate...

I am not even aware that any of my recent posts have been deleted...

UPDATE

I just found myself able to get back into Yahoo on my thy.nemesis ID.

Yesterday it rejected my ID as non-existent, now I can get in again...

BTW, it has been so long since my last blacklisting, that I now remember that the blacklisting message was phrased in no uncertain terms...

Perhaps I couldn't get back in because I had previously chosen to close the window when I was requested to validate my Yahoo ID...

Anyway, it is rather ironic that I am now back in business on a forum that is currently closed for business...

I give up on Yahoo. I enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee when my kids go to bed and reading what some have to say. Now they close the boards on a Thursday night???? Few will bother with yahoo anymore, i know i wont.  Absolute laziness by the mods
