Sorry, could have worded that better, didn't intend to imply that was your attitude.

I find in general Yahoo easier to read.. and to be honest I dont like all these flashing IDs.. and silly faces a bit childish for my taste..I like to use the boards to learn, especially about politics its only opinions after all but we are all entitled to have them, by looking at things froma different perspective we can all learn in the lo ng run.. well some of us!!

Yahoo - when it's switched on - gives a more immediate reply
to people because there are so many active posters.
Sometimes you wait a day for a reply here - or more
whereas you can get 60 replies in one hour on Yahoo.

Hi Bobby
Am another jumper here, good to see a few familiar faces around too.
Ok yahoo has the numbers and spontaniety (sp) but always good to have another angle on things. Living on yahoo is a bit much and the Surgeon General advises i can damage ya health.

Later Bobby

I agree - I actually felt quite angry sometimes that I had
discussed an interesting important subject & it was deleted
by the moderators without reason.
I know it's their site  so they can do whatever they like
& I also realise there are rules - however -
All topics on such as those below were deleted:

Religion - any talk about the Pope, Catholic Inquisition torture tools
being sceptical about miracles, wrong scientific parts of the Bible.

911  conspiracy theories:
Building 7 collapse, small hole in Pentagon
from large aeroplane, traces of thermite
welding powder around the twin towers.

Picking on someone  & explaining why what they say is nonsense.

Sudanese crime wave in Melbourne -When people are bashed & robbed at railway stations.

I certainly perfer the culture here - where (most days) the rabid whingers are in the minority amongst the right wingers...

Speaking of the rabid right whingers on Yahoo...

It would seem that my thy.nemesis ID has been blacklisted in the last 24-odd hours - after surviving for over 2 1/2 years...

I'd only posted on few threads in the past couple of days - and those posts were remarkably benign...

It is that sort of pettiness that is causing people to gravitate over here...

You would think Yahoo are saving money by zapping the weekend postings. A common enough measure these days.
References have been made to this site and you would expect yahoo to check this site out.  Perhaps even have a few posters from their own staff mixing with the masses and the lack of faces on there boards...market research??

On the censorship of topics Bobby, potentially they could start bushfires and yahoo couldn't control them, see also the loss of face! Ultimately, they delete the inflammtory posts but the damage has been done.  The volume of postings means their mods would be swamped at times...not a job I'd want to be doing Smiley

The Race card and religion plus a bit of politicking are all subjects which get out of hand and always get folks going at the bbq even the best of mates. That is in your back garden the message boards are basically open, even deleting posts is worse because seasoned vets know what was said and not tolerated.

stay warm folks t'is cold outside

Hey Namaste,

I'd cut down on that crystalline energy. No more sugar in your coffee for a while. Ok? It just gets you hyperactive, and probably hyperglycaemic too.
