Port au Prince has a population of 2 million and it's essentially been demolished by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3.

The palace is gone, as are the embassies. Most of the residential areas are made up of poorly constructed shanty towns, which witnesses say have been sucked into ravines.

What a horrifying tragedy.
