I'm happy to condemn him for his actions.
Yoiu have not condemned any muslim terrorist/shoe thrower.
nor has any other muslim.
as long as a muslim does it, by your thoughts, that's ok.
the more the west sees this, the more we are very suspicous of islam.
I cannot speak for Abu but here is my take.
All who kill for the sake of killing, regardless of their religion, should be condemned. NO religion permits murder--religion is only used as a political tool to misguide and capture the attention of the believing public.
Muslims do condemn terrorists. Attend a mosque, talk to a Muslim in the streets, go to a Muslim country. In the aftermath of 9.11 the entire Muslim world was behind America. Pakistan and Iran came up send Bush a proposal: they would bring OBL to him. Pakistan has the intelligence and Iran has the manpower.
The Muslim countries, specifically the Arab nations, Pakistan and the Taliban (back then they were the only govt. of Afghanistan) came up with another proposal: they would bring AQ to justice, Sharia-style. In other words, all Al Qaeda members would be killed.
Bush rejected their help and instead started using words like "crusade" and "the new world order". Tell me what the Bible says abou the man who will bring about the "new world order". Muslims a firm believers of the bible.
Can you imagine the combined might of America, the Arab countries and Pakistan? Al Qaeda would have quickly been eliminated quickly and the deaths of thousands of servicemen and women as well as millions of Iraqi's and Afghani's could potentially have been avoided (to some degree).
Nevertheless, Muslims still condemned the terrorits (and do still today). But Bush again made it harder for them to do so by illegally invading Iraq ("crusade", Xe/Blackwater, Eric Prince, Bush saying the bible told him to do so etc).
Obama is trying to win the hearts and minds of the Muslim world by showing them that the war on terrorism is not actually a war on Islam. Remeber when he went to Egypt--he was cheered loudly. No shoes were thrown at him even though he is continuing the policies of Bush.
On both sides, hatred should not be a blind belief. Geo-politics should be considered.
As for Muslims condeming the shoe-thrower, why should they? His country was torn apart by Bush and he vented his anger. The whole Muslim world laughed and most people in the West did too. All my American friends still laugh about it today and say that Bush deserved it.
