Politicians, rabbis busted in US corruption probe

By North America correspondent Lisa Millar for AM

Dozens of politicians, rabbis and developers have been arrested in New Jersey, accused of trafficking human kidneys and laundering money in a scheme that stretched from Switzerland and Israel to Manhattan.

The real life corruption case could be a plot line from television mobster blockbuster series, the Sopranos, which is filmed in the north-eastern US state.

There were so many suspects they arrived at court in a big blue bus.

Dozens of men and women, including state politicians, city mayors and Jewish clergymen, have been caught after a 10-year political corruption investigation.

They were handcuffed, some bowing their heads and others trying to hide their identity.

But US prosecutor Ralph Marra is determined no one can hide from the murky details of this case.

Among those arrested was the 31-year-old mayor of Hoboken, who was elected just three weeks ago.

"Some of Mr Cammarano's noteworthy statements include, on May 19th at the Malibu diner, talking about the run-off election in Hoboken. He said 'I could be indicted and still get 85 to 95 per cent of the vote'," Mr Marra said.

"Later in that conversation he told... the cooperating witness... he broke the world down into three - people with us, you guys. People who climbed onboard in the run-off, they have to get in line. And people who were against us the whole way, they get ground into powder'."

Rabbis are accused of enticing vulnerable people to sell their kidneys for $10,000, later selling the organs for $160,000.

"These rings, led by clergymen, cloak their extensive criminal activity behind a façade of rectitude," Mr Marra said.

Real estate developers handed over millions of dollars for preferential treatment in a case the FBI thinks could make New Jersey America's most corrupt state.

Investigator Weysun Dunn says it is a betrayal of the public trust.

"This case is not about politics. It is certainly not about religion," he said.

"It's about crime, corruption. It is about arrogance. It is about a shocking betrayal of the public trust.

"It is about criminals who used politics and religion to cloak their criminal activities and to enrich themselves while betraying those who trusted them."

Brazil: No refugee status for 'abusive rabbi'

Brazilian authorities reject 'Rabbi' Elior Chen's request for refugee status, say he will soon be extradited to Israel. Chen, allegedly behind one of worst child abuse cases in Israel, likely to seek additional steps to hold up extradition
Aviad Glickman

Another barrier was overcome in the extradition case of self-proclaimed "Rabbi" Elior Chen, held responsible for severe abuse of two children in Jerusalem. Brazilian authorities Monday announced to the country's international prosecution department that the Committee for Refugee Affairs rejected Chen's request for refugee status, thus paving the way for his extradition to Israel.

Brazil's Supreme Court ruled two months ago that Chen would be extradited to Israel.

If Chen does not find additional methods for holding up the extradition process, the prosecution estimates that he will be turned over to Israeli authorities within one and a half to two months.

Only procedural issues are currently delaying the process, which awaits the publication of the court's decision and its supporting arguments. Once this occurs, the Brazilian justice minister must sign the extradition order for the process to be put into action.

Chen is wanted in Israel for his involvement in a Jerusalem child abuse case. As a leader of a cult that advocates sadistic rituals, Chen allegedly instructed a mother from Beitar Ilit to inflict severe emotional, mental and physical harm on two of her children, aged three and four years old, under the guise of "legitimate educational values" in the start of 2008. The three-year-old sustains permanent brain damage.

Chen fled abroad at the start of investigations against him in the case. An international arrest warrant was issued against him. Some two months after his escape, he was arrested on the streets of Sao Paolo.

A short time after the Supreme Court's extradition decision, Chen petitioned the court with a request to receive refugee status in order to avoid extradition to Israel.

In a joint effort between Attorney Gilad Scemama from the State Prosecution's department of international affairs, Israeli Ambassador to Brazil Giora Bachar, and Embassy Advisor Rafi Zinger, the Israeli authorities issued their opposition to Chen's attempt at exploiting Brazil's refugee law in order to escape trial in Israel. The efforts were fruitful, and a formal notification was issued Monday that the refugee committee rejected Chen's request for refugee status.

Chen's council, Attorney Ariel Atari, apparently did not place much hope on the refugee status move. "The main issue in our claim was and remains the issue of extradition and not the said request," Atari said to Ynet. "On the issue of extradition, we hope that the Brazilian Supreme Court will accept out claims, firmly based in international law."

A number of possible options for delaying the extradition process still stand at Chen's disposal. He can still submit an appeal to overturn the refugee status rejection to Brazil's justice minister. In addition, he can request a clarification of the Supreme Court's decision to extradite him. These steps could delay his extradition by a number of weeks.

You could do worse than scuttle back to your little fiefdom of the Islam forum where you can control who says what becasue there, thanks to FD's impeccable multicultural credentials, you are in charge of your own posts and the conversation of other 3 people's whom you have not banned yet - Islam takeover writ small.

On all other matters - there is absolutely no room for you, an advocate for murderous islam, to give hints, lessons, nudges to us or anyone else about anyone whatsoever. Joos, christians, taoists or Buddhists - you have no moral standing to utter anything in criticism or indignation. The moral conduct of what you stand for is utterly contemptible and completely beyond the pale.  Any of these equivocational little posts you muster along the lines of "look, spitting joos' simply reinforce my utter contempt and revulsion when there are head hacking Islamics whom you defend by your slilence or worse,  your slander of those who fight them. You have sided with despicable people and you try to outshine them to show them and yourself that you belong with them. You have thrown away your moral compass in search of acceptance by barbarians. Being a coward to boot, this is the palce, internet forums,  where you wage your personal jihad.

The only thing that attracts you in Islam is the oppositional, the revolting, the contarian, the bloodcurdling. You do not have a skerrick of the civilisation or ethical authority or wisdom and come across as nothing but a reinforcement of every prejudice one has about Islam. You are a white and nerdy caricature of the Islamist. You should approach Mossad for a stipend. You are that bad.

Israeli troops 'kidnap' Palestinians for organs

Tue, 18 Aug 2009 18:29:24 GMT
...A leading Swedish newspaper claims Israeli soldiers kidnap Palestinians to steal their organs and sell them in the black market.

In an article titled They plunder the organs of our sons, the daily Aftonbladet said Israeli soldiers abduct young Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip and return their bodies to their families after removing their organs.

"Our sons are used as involuntary organ donors," relatives of Khalid a Palestinian man from Nablus told Donald Bostrom who authored the report.

He also reported the accounts of other Palestinians whose relatives are fallen the victim of the organ smuggling operation.

According to the report, all of the victims were killed and their bodies were autopsied.

The report also cited another similar incident in 1992, in which a young Palestinian activist was captured by Israeli soldiers in the Nablus area. The man was shot in the chest, both legs and the stomach and then transferred to "an unknown distention."

The man's body was found five nights later. "When Bilal was put into his grave, his chest was revealed and suddenly it became clear to the present what abuse he had been put through. Bilal was far from the only one who was buried cut-up from his stomach to his chin and the speculations about the reason why had already started," read the article.

The article also links the issue to a recently discovered crime syndicate in New Jersey, which was involved in organ smuggling. Several American rabbis were arrested in connection to the case.

This is not surprising in the slightest. Israel has a huge prostitute and slave trade also. China is doing the same and it's probably happening in another dozen countries where lives are considered worthless.

Meanwhile, Swedish Ambassador to Israel Elisabet Borsiin Bonnier issued a statement denouncing the report on the embassy's website: "On 17 August the Swedish daily Aftonbladet published an article on alleged organ trafficking in Israel. It related, inter alia, claims from individual Palestinians that organs had been stolen from captured Palestinians. The given sources, and a photograph of a dead Palestinian man, pertain to an incident in l992.

"The article in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet is as shocking and appalling to us Swedes, as it is to Israeli citizens. We share the dismay expressed by Israeli government representatives, media and the Israeli public. This Embassy cannot but clearly distance itself from it.

"Just as in Israel, freedom of the press prevails in Sweden," concluded the statement. "However, freedom of the press and freedom of expression are freedoms which carry a certain responsibility. It falls on the editor-in-chief of any given newspaper."

Stand by for Jews burning down Swedish Embassies.
