Alarmists beget new political party in Oz

So wrote Thomas Huxley, one of the great minds of the scientific age.

Anthropogenic or man-made Global Warming (AGW) alarmism is the biggest con, fraud, hoax, swindle, deception and mass hysteria in the history of modern civilization, because climate changes naturally.

The Climate Sceptics support all practical measures to prevent environmental degradation. We support the development of cleaner and more efficient sources of energy. Unfortunately governmental taxes to stop climate change are a colossal diversion of funds from core obligations, and Emission Trading Schemes (ETS) will do absolutely nothing for the Murray-Darling basin, the Great Barrier Reef, or land degradation - just as it will do absolutely nothing to stop climate change.

The Climate Sceptics are here to demand rational debate and responsible leadership. We reject the extremist views that now threaten what Australians have sacrificed to achieve in living standards, rights and freedoms.

A few years ago, Lawrence Solomon, a renown environmentalist, author and anti-nuclear activist, started out to investigate who were the scientists being rubbished as “Deniers.” To his amazement, he found that these scientists were more highly qualified in their various scientific disciplines than their critics. These were not just good scientists, but the most accomplished and eminent meteorologists, oceanographers, glaciologist, paleoclimatologists and experts on hurricanes, clouds, glaciers and in other sciences related to climate. Between them they have published hundreds of books and thousands of peer-reviewed papers. But the Al Gores and James Hansens of this world, with the help of a compliant media, have managed to side-line these experts as if they were a bunch of ignorant dissidents small enough in number to fit into a telephone box. Some telephone box!

World temperatures peaked in 1998 – ten years ago – and the downward cooling trend has been unmistakeable since about 2002. It’s now official that 2008 has been the coldest year this century. The world has continued to cool whilst CO2 levels in the atmosphere have continued to rise. The AWG thesis that rising CO2 levels cause a corresponding rise in temperatures has collapsed.

* The global warming of the last hundred years has in been entirely within the range of natural variability
* The warmer periods of history such as the Holocene Optimum, the Roman Warm Period, and the Medieval Warm Period, have all proved to be beneficial in terms of human prosperity and progress. The warming 20th century has been no exception.

wELL IF IT ISN'T THE OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL RATBAG... no Mozz... they've been well advertised here in NSW and they have some "big" event happening shortly and they've been on the radio pretty regularly and they are a NEW political party started due to the actions of the likes of you and BOZO...

I have no interest in them particularly as yet but people like you and Bozo might just tip me in their direction just for spite.

Finally I note Bozo is resorting to ridicule and lies once again and you wonder why a person like me would dislike him and his dishonesty

why would anyone believe him on anything?
