But now the next question is: Why do you say that a non-belief in God also makes one religious?
Doesn't that mean that it's compulsory to be religious just by being alive?

Amadd - you need to rephrase it again to include juvenile human beings, because they are the favourite brainwashing target of the greater unwashed religiocracy.

Atheist is not a word I use to describe myself. If somebody asks me what my religion is, I usually answer "183cm". The question has as much relevance to me as asking me the colour of my motorcycle. (I don't own one) I like to answer irrelevant questions with irreverent answers. Apt - don't you think?

I say that believe in non existence of God(s) is a religion.

By the way atheists themselves confirmed that they are religious by appearing in "(religious only)" topic.
