Also, ignore the ideal woman bit.  The Nordic ideal is still the Swedish ideal, and the second woman shown is Swedish (yes, actually Swedish) popstar Carola.  A better example would've been that in 2002 Miss Sweden was a mixed race girl, which I personally found disgusting.  Indeed, Carola is later described as a Swedish artist.  Also, ignore the bit about Adam Tensta.  Regardless of what the media pushes, no one in Sweden seriously believes that you can be Swedish unless you are actually ethnically Swedish (or at the very least of Northern European descent).

The tide is starting to turn.  Sweden's nationalist party, Sverige Demokratarna (Sweden Democrats) are gaining support and will likely be elected to the Riksdag in the next election, which will result in state-financing of the party.  The mainstream political parties have also toughened slightly on immigration, although they are still unacceptably lax.  Sweden's southern neighbor Denmark has shown what is possible, and I think this is the future in Sweden as well.

The mixed race girl who won the Miss Sweden title some years back (I think it was 2002) was attractive, but as she was not Swedish she had no place in the pageant in the first place.

I'm an ethnic nationalist, and it depends on the country in question.  A mixed race Miss America is fine, we've been biracial for a very long time.

I don't think a mixed race person is or ever can be Swedish, period.  It has less to do with "purity" and much more to do with phenotypes.  Due to Sweden's long relationship with Finland for instance the Swedish population has a fair amount of Uralic and Mongolian admixture, making Swedes genetically less European than, say, Scots.  Swedes look a certain way and that's just how it is.

Well actually I think he/she could be a racist sprint.  Therefore even though showing a fair ability to put a sentence together, he/she holds a totally flawed belief to be true.

Yes Grendal, maintaining and respecting your culture is very different to racial purity.

It is definitely racist but may be acceptable as long as other racial groups are not discriminated against politically, socially or economically based on their race. Generally though, I think that is a pretty tough ask because I suspect the desire for racial purity is from a belief in some mythical superiority, that belief would too easily permiate into other belief systems such as Justice, status and social acceptance.

I don't believe in nor see any prestige in racial purity anyway although certainly some blood lines are less diluted than others.

I have no problem with a country saying that there are certain cultures or cultural habits that are undesirable and not wanted in that country. I have conditional sympathy for cultural discrimination.
