Firstly, let me state that i have no definitive evidence that this attack was perpetrated by muslims, but.....

Looks as thought the perp was a white dude though, from what we can tell so far. He could be a wannabe like Abu Rashid, of course - but could easily just be someone who is angry with the world and not a muslim.

Muslims do not have a monopoly on violence - they do have a near monopoly on religious violence however.

Still, such an action [the attack at the Dutch Queensday parade] is not out of character with what ISLAM encourages - the destruction of Western political and societal institutions, to be replaced with Sharia.

He was due to hand back the keys of his apartment yesterday because he could no longer pay the rent.

Tates was described by neighbours as a friendly loner who had worked unsociable hours as a security guard before being made redundant this year. They added that they rarely saw him, and that he had few visitors and no known girlfriend.
