No it doesn't yadda, it just means
it should not be given any special privileges.

That is all I want.

moz,

Often, goodness is its own reward [in this life].

And evil likewise.

Not in every case, but often.

And i acknowledge, that much evil has been done by men, in the name of religion.

And note, that i said, evil.

And today [as a theist], i don't seek the right to remove anyone's head, for what they believe.

All i ask is that secular authorities, act against what is clearly an evil philosophy in our midst, as they should, and as they are want to tell us, that we have given them authority, and a mandate, to act for our common good.

Problem is, that today, in our midst, the evil is still being done by men, and often, in the name of [a] 'religion'.

Q.
And how are we, or our community leaders, as a society of supposedly 'rational' and just men, seeking to remedy that 'problem' / circumstance [of evil in our midst]?

A.
We do nothing [or very little], because of some misplaced concern, for respecting the 'rights' of evil men of 'position' [instead of speaking open TRUTH], by our pontificating, and by our doing absolutely nothing against those men, and against their evil philosophy.

Dictionary,
pontificate = =
1 (in the Roman Catholic Church) officiate as bishop, especially at Mass.
2 express one’s opinions in a pompous and dogmatic way.

Jeremiah 22:3
Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
4  For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
5  But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.
