I am one of the prospective members in the legislative Indonesian elections in april 2009. I nominated as members of the DPRD Cilacap district by United Development Party (Partai Persatuan Pembangunan).

Cilacap district, located in the north ocean Indies with as many resources likely to be more forward from the current. It needs leaders who dare to make changes in the level of policy determination. As a region that has a source of oil and tourism locations, Cilacap will be better if managed optimally.

Wow, Ammad, you have not travelled much I guess, because if you had, you would be less likely to make sweeping generalisations like that.

Before Islamism rose in the late 1970's, many arab nations were well travelled, and the locals were noted for their kindness, and hospitality.
Islam has been hijacked by the extremists, but most muslims are still, kind, hospitable people, in fact wherever you go in the world, if you present yourself openly, you are generally going to find the people welcoming, and friendly, because people are pretty much the same everywhere, they all are just living their lives as best they can, and trying to be happy, and achieve peace and prosperity for themselves, and their families.

If you really dislike people, then don't expect a warm welcome, anywhere.
Imagine how you would react, you meet one person who loves your country, and culture, and another who thinks you are all ignorant redneck hicks, and sheepshaggers, who will you respect, and offer hospitality to?
