Ah yes, the solar system is 4.5 billion years old, so that's not too far from the birth of the solar system.

The moon was formed when a mars sized planetoid smashed into the proto earth, throwing a large segment of it into an orbit, which has been steadily increasing in distance from the Earth.

Ever wonder what would happen if a 500km diameter asteroid were to slam into the Earth?

That's actually as of tomorrow. Today it's only 4,419,999,999 years old, but tomorrow is the Moon's birthday.

We could hold a birthday party, but finding a cake large enough to hold 4,420,000,000 candles could be a problem.

Do you remember the asteroid? It seems to be blocked out of collective consciousness or everyone is super traumatised by it. It was 2000 or 2001 and there was a great big red thing glowing in the sky, with a trail following it, people were stopping their cars to look at it, it wasn't reported in the news, and radio reports were like tell your kids you love them etc. People were saying it was the sun and not to look at it you will burn your eyes, but it was an asteroid, and no one will talk about it now, and very very few people even remember it. Collective PTSD perhaps?

Tycho Magnetic Anomaly One was found on the Moon and though initially the findings were widely published by 2003 all memories of the event were completely erased from most of the human minds.

Muso, the Author of that event have not died in March 2008 his metamorphosis catapulted him and the Hall9K to pure energy-info domain two years before his prediction, which is not too far as some astronomical predictions go.
