so what if it is a racist/discriminiatory word?

Are all such words banned ?
Do they no longer exist ?

what word are you talking about? I never referred to a word. I was referring to someone refusing to serve someone else based on their religion/race/nationality.

Calanen,

I thought you liked Turkish Muslims? Aren't you a proponent of Turkish, Ahmadiyyah and Tatar Muslims coming to Australia?

It is your freedom of choice to refuse to go to a muslim owned cafe or refuse to serve a muslim.

I might ask at every cafe if they are muslims or not from now on.
Then exercise my right.

you have a right not to go anywhere- sure- even if it is based on bigotry

however you cannot refuse somebody service based upon their religion, race, gender etc- that's straight up discrimination. i'm sure the fair trade act or something akin to it would support that

it's not your right to discriminate against others and refuse them goods or services

Gaybriel,

Wow!

I thank you, for these rational words.

Now, if only we could convince muslims of these values, and tolerance of others.

It's irrelevant whether it's racist or not because you will either serve them or not. Perhaps you can be suitably rude etc or deliver poor service to make them seek elsewhere. this could impact on your valued clientele, but so would refusing to serve Muslims as there are many blleding hearts who would have a cry over it.

yadda - it's their "religious" right to discriminate against nonmuslims.

Well, their religious duty to be more correct

grendel- yes you're right, but I was pointing out Yadda's selective application of who should be reminded of what it is to be fair and non-discriminatory when sprint has so overtly expressed his discriminatory views in this matter

secondly- it is actually false of him in the first place to apply that to muslims en masse as it was only one muslim man who refused service to someone from israel, it's hardly a widespread epidemic. when you see muslims across the board refusing service to non-muslims or israelis, then there may be an issue- but right now, all there is is an isolated incident

I'm sure we are all aware of sprints method of expressing himself by now.

I am also sure we are all well aware of how Muslims as a large collective (if not every single one of them) express their beliefs etc on several topics.  Hatred of the US for example.  Hatred of the West.  Hatred of Jews.  Hatred of Israel.  Intolerance of western culture...   the list is almost endless.

Whereas most people in western democracies such as ours just want to live our lives in peace.  You don't see mass demonstrations or 1000s of faces distorted in hatred protesting Muslims or Arabs or threatening violent jihad etc, etc, etc...
