[Buddha] Hey Sprint, if that is one of your favourite Buddhist sayings, it goes straight against Christ, essentially it is saying the path Christ led is not a good path, and perhaps to embrace hedonism.

Buddhist story.

One day the Buddha was sitting under a tree with his pupils and explaining the various steps required to achieve Nivana.

One of the pupils asked why they could not pray to the Buddha himself and light candles etc, and the Buddha could take them to this place at the end of this life. The Buddha said it does not work this way.

The Buddha to the student : " Look at my finger. Where is it pointing?"

Student : "At the moon master"

The Buddha : "Exactly, but if you want to look at the moon, don't look at my finger."

This is exactly what I believe Jesus was also saying when he said " I am The Light, I am The Way." He lights the path. Praying to him was the extra stuff added so men could create the business end of Christ's message. In the same way that Buddhist religion, that worships the Buddha has it wrong.

It is the message and the thoughts and the actions that are all important.

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.

I thought Bruce Lee said that not Buddha.

Granted I'd rather pray to Bruce Lee. He could kick Buddha's ass. Grin

Sometimes people say things that gets others to shut the hell up. Very succesful words. They don't have to all be awe inspiring or full of religious text. It can sometimes be pretty evil poo.

Buddhism is contradictory in it's selflessness, yet seeking alignment for the self. And the fact that they believe karma is an objective force of nature, and yet that there is no good and evil, "all paths lead to Buddha, some just slower".

I can agree with though that whatever makes others shut the hell up is worth considering, though I'd much rather use "negative karma" to accomplish it. My belly is full of hate, and people's chatter only makes it worse. That's why I never watch the view. Cheesy

But I still believe there's something left for you and me.
