"Muhammad is the "That Prophet" in the Bible...."

I was directed to this following site by abu,

On this page...

The Hidden Truth: Prophet Muhammad is the "That Prophet" in the Bible.   By brother Umar Hassan.
http://answering-christianity.org/umar_hassan/that_prophet.htm

....an argument is made that Muhammad is the Prophet promised, in the Bible, in Deuteronomy.

+++++

"THAT PROPHET"
By UMAR HASSAN

"THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE APOSTLE, THE UNLETTERED PROPHET, WHOM THEY FIND MENTIONED IN THEIR OWN SCRIPTURES, IN THE TORAH AND THE GOSPEL"
Holy Qur’ân 7:157

Quoting the Bible....

Deuteronomy 17:15
"Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee whom the LORD thy God shall choose. One from among thy brethren shalt thou set as king over thee; thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, who is not thy brother."

Deuteronomy 18:18
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

+++++

"......Up to the age of THIRTEEN Ishmael was the ONLY son and seed of Abraham, when the covenant was ratified between God and Abraham. God grants Abraham another son through Sarah, named Isaac, who was very much the junior to his brother Ishmael."

"......If Ishmael and Isaac are the sons of the same father Abraham, then they are brothers. And so the children of the one are the BRETHREN of the children of the other. The children of Isaac are the Jews and the Children of Ishmael are the Arabs - so they are BRETHREN to one another......The children of Isaac are the brethren of the Ishmaelites. In like manner Muhammad is from among the brethren of the Israelites because he was a descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham. This exactly as the prophecy has it- 'FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN'.(Deut.18:18). There the prophecy distinctly mentions that the coming prophet who would be like Moses, must arise NOT from the 'children of Israel' or from 'among themselves', but from among their brethren. MUHAMMAD THEREFORE WAS FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN!"

+++++

The article argues that the words used, in Deuteronomy, "....One from among thy brethren", is referring to the children of Ishmael [father of the Arabs].

The article also argues that the words, "......a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee," refers to Muhammad.

And seeks to demonstrate that Muhammad is that prophet who is like Moses, much more so, than Jesus.

CONTINUED FROM LAST POST.....

The Hidden Truth: Prophet Muhammad is the "That Prophet" in the Bible.   By brother Umar Hassan.

http://answering-christianity.org/umar_hassan/that_prophet.htm

This article [above] totally ignores the import of these additional, relevant, Bible verses....

Genesis 12:1-3
Now the LORD had said unto Abram.....in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 17:1-7
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him.......I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Particularly, regarding Ishmael....

Genesis 17:15-21
And God said unto Abraham..........Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20  And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21  But my covenant will I establish with Isaac....

Genesis 22:15-18
And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16  And said.......in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Exodus 2:23
And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
24  And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Galatians
4:22  For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
23  But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24  Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
25  For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26  But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27  For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
28  Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
29  But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
30  Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
31  So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Genesis 21:10
Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
11  And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
12  And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

The Word of God....

.....for the son of this bondwoman [Ishmael] shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

On this page...

http://answering-christianity.org/death.htm

....an argument is made that Jesus approved of killing apostates, and other law breakers.

This page cites Jesus own words.....

Matthew 15:1-9
1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2 "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
3 Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4 For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'
5 But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,
6he is not to 'honor his father' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.'.....'"

".....There is no question that Jesus approved of killing apostates, exactly as killing those who mistreat their parents!"

"......Conclusion:
The Bible in both the Old and New Testaments command the killing of apostates, and those who disagree need to produce their proofs.
.......Embrace Islam and you'll be saved!  All Praise and Glory and due to Allah Almighty Alone.  And may Allah Almighty send His Peace, Mercy and Blessings upon our Beloved and Blessed Prophet, Teacher and Role Model, Muhammad.  Ameen."

++++++

Consider....

In the name of ISLAM, and Allah, Muhammad himself, killed many hundreds of ppl [this is historical fact, confirmed by ISLAMIC texts].

In the name of God, Jesus killed no-one [not one single person], but rather Jesus healed the sick, and brought the dead back to life.

What did Jesus *do*, when his adversaries brought an adulterous woman to him, for judgement?

John 8:3
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4  They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5  Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6  This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7  So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8  And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9  And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

In the name of ISLAM, and Allah, Muhammad, himself, killed many hundreds of ppl [this is historical fact, confirmed by ISLAMIC texts].

The Jewish tribe of Banu Qureza, in a besieged settlement was persuaded to surrender.

After their surrender, Muhammad asked one of his commanders what should be the fate of the captives.

From Hadith.....

"......Sad said, "Kill their (men) warriors and take their offspring as captives, "On that the Prophet said, "You have judged according to Allah's Judgment,""
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/059.sbt.html#005.0...

"In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful."
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/001.qmt.html#001.001

And as an exercise lacking in Allah's mercy, Muhammad and his followers put around 800 men of that community to death.
.....i.e. those men who had surrendered, to Allah's holy warriors.

All of the men were taken off in small groups, bound, and then beheaded.

Muhammad and his men, then took the wives and daughters [of these dead men] and the other substance of the community, as war booty.

++++

In Jesus day....

John 8:39
They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

Read of the character, and the mercy, of Abraham....
