No thanks. It doesn't appear to have helped you much.

Then write an Ode to your ignorance but don't blame me for it.

They did legislate based on what they perceived Communist ideology to be.

Can you back this claim up?

Likewise Australia legsilates based on what they consider Democratic or Secular ideology to be.

No it doesn't. Neither ideology says anything about what the rules should be. It is an ideology about the mechanism, not the outcome.

because they believe that the principles of personal freedom that come from the Democratic and Secular ideologies

How does it come from those ideologies?

I've already explained that rules are based on laws, laws on constitution and constitution on ideological or/and religious believes..

Rationality is in the eye of the beholder.

It's based on a belief, which the believer holds to also be rational. It's still a belief. We have a law against murder, because we BELIEVE it's not a nice thing to do. Most of us also believe that's the only rational belief to hold (thankfully), but there's plenty of other laws, all based on beliefs too, that many people will disagree over how rational they are. Abortion is one particular law (mentioned in another thread recently).

This is a great bloody muddle.

Reason is NOT in the eye of the beholder. It si not a matter of belief or cusstom or tradition. It is not a taste or whim. Mathematics and logic, for example, are not social constructs.

It is NOT about mathematics, you great Muslim reasoner, but about rationality which you presented as a construct. Mathmatics is an EXAMPLE of why reason is not a construct, not its sole or full explanation.

If you are the jewel of muslim intellect, we are safe.

You don't believe you're safe, and that's why you're so anti-Islamic. But if it makes you feel better, and you think you'll convince me, then keep playing the charade Smiley
