DT there are different kinds of intelligence...the superior form of the two would be debateable.

describing women as cunning ?..what do you mean exactly. Not wanting to misconstrue your meaning here. Undecided

Entirely from observation (and using the g- word) _generally_ women are better at the details when it comes to science, and I know quite a few women who are scientists. Men are sometimes better at seeing the big picture, although they lose out in terms of intuition. It's not a hard and fast distinction though.

Of course that could be an age-related phenomenon as much as anything.

So if you picked any man and woman at random, the man would almost always get a better score?

It would depend how the test is set up. I know I deserve a higher IQ but I need more time for the number sequence questions. Some people can breeze through them - others can't. My guess is that males design most of these tests.

DT's right - women possibly are more cunning than men - although I would use the words - have more foresight than men.

It might have something to do with how our left or right side of the brain is developed when we're young?
