What we can question about Islam.
Initially Mohammed thought he was possessed by a Jinn, or evil spirit if you like, when he started hearing voices.
If you go to any mental institution you will find many who make the same claim, it is called schizophrenia.
His wife, knowing the attitudes of the day, convinced him it was actually God talking to him, and that is what he should tell people, so he did.

Now they are on a roll, in the taking of the town they enjoy the odd bit of rape and pillage, and the big Poobah releases his inner sexual predator.

The cradle of civilisation has thrown up a new bastard child, a new desert dogma, another religious cult to infect the minds of the weak and gullible, and spreading it's ignorance and superstition wherever it goes.

I didn't think any of the facts behind my slightly satirically worded post, were in question.
If it is the style of my post you find offensive, rather than the content, then I suggest you need to re-appraise your ideas about what is offensive.
For most people, condoning sexual activity between a middle aged man and a child would be the obviously offensive behaviour.

The topic came up from reading the links from bliss's original post about how some muslims never knew about mohammed's historically described, sexual activity, and were shocked when they found out.

Islam is not alone in this, many religions have had terrible deeds done in their name, but we do not wish to see them justified, or excused, especially in the context of a free and evolved society.

The point is that he was supposed to be getting the heads up, straight from God, on setting the example on how to live as god wants us to.

So either god wants middle aged men to have sex with single digit girls, or mohammed was not doing as he was told to do by god, or he was not actually getting any instructions from god at all.

Perhaps NO instructions were given?
