Our own greenification efforts

An idea borrowed from labor_man.

What moves have we done to greenify our own areas ??


I've put in the high efficiency bulbs and have a scrub turkeys nest in the front yard.
Not much, hard as I am in a rental house.
Put a beautiful permaculture garden in in my last house, thats a pretty greem thing to do.

Planting fruit trees, riding a bike to work, installing a tank and ceiling insulation, mulching/composting.

edit: no air con and minimal heating at home

Switching all lights on..all the time
Running the aircon even when it's not needed
Dumping waste oil down the stormwater drain
Eating whale burgers

I use those energy friendly lightglobes.

Garden as much of my own fruit and veg as possible.

Have an energy friendly car..very efficient to run.

Have a tank like to install more..

Being more energy conscious in general.

Only use airconditioning on low  when it gets very hot/mainly at night.
