The real men of Aussie politics

Howard, Costello and Vaile.

They led us in peace, safety and prosperity for multiple gvernments.
They took the tough unpopular but correct decisions.

In the end they were vorted out. Rather than stay around and try to fight their way back in the party, they resigned.
Allowing the party time and space to regroup without an unnecessary battle.
They fell on their own swords.

Thanks for such stable good solid leadership guys.
I hope rudd can do the same.

You left out the still waters bit sprint.  Grin

Still, that sounds better than saying Costello resigned because he didn't have the ticker to face up to Labor in power.

Why would Peter Costello hang about to repair the damage after Liebor wreck it?

Perhaps you would be so kind as to quote deepthought saying "Costello resigned because he didn't have the ticker to face up to Labor in power".

I do hope you aren't misrepresenting facts.  Again.
