My visit to the Catholic Church today...

Man... I don't mean to offend you protestants out there... but when it comes to buillding impressive looking churches.... the Catholics kick buttox.

Felt very intimidated being inside. I felt like I was in the purest form of Christianity of all. Felt like converting simply to go in there every weekend.  Tongue

I know this also sounds weird... but the gothic feel of the building felt a little... evil?  Tongue

yeh the protestants go along with the idea of simple and humble.

catholics reckon they should give the best of everything they have for their church.

two different ideas, neither necessarily wrong.

donald - yes, VERY impressive to say the least !!
I love a beautiful church - as was the Temple in the Old Tesatment.
At Quilpie we went to a catholic church service there, they had an Opal pulpit.  Cool .

A workmate just came back from a europe trip. Went to see the churches there, he was jaw dropped at the Vatican. About 5 times he said "You don't have to be religious, but this one is it."
The art work at the Sistene chapel amazed him too

I know hey? I can't wait to see the churches in Europe.  I can't imagine how impressive they are. THAT'S what I call REAL architecture. Unlike this modern cr@p they're doing.

I have to admit Sprint and Pender... I felt like becoming a Catholic just so I'm able to go and see the building every now and then.  Tongue
