Sprint, I don't wanna go too in depth about this... why do you think Christians aren't being punished by God as severely as Muslims and Jews?

Cause we live under grace.

That was an inspired answer Donald. (Inspired means "God breathed.")

That wasn't an 'inspired' answer... that was an 'I don't know' answer.  Tongue

Part of the relationship between god and the jews as implemented in law by moses explains that jews suffer on earth for their sins. Jews have a relationship whether they must do as god says and be disciplined if they fail. So when they sin personally the suffer personally and when they sin collectivly they suffer in the same way.

Chrisianity's relationship with god is not one of law like the jews. Christians have a personal relationionship and are not required to follow laws and so are not punished accordingly when they fail. Christians are required to "love god with all their heart, soul, mind and strength" and to "love their neighbour as themselves". Theoretically if you do those two things you will automatically not sin anyway. The downside is if they fail to love god etc they wont have a relationship with him and thus miss out.

muslims i dont know, perhaps they are crazy?

two diffeent ways of parenting. carrot and the stick.

I can always tell when you're upset because you always begin with 'Hi Donald. How are you?'  Tongue

Sorry mate... it wasn't an insult or anything... I was just teasing.

I thought that modern  Islam allowed for other religions to be practiced and exist - respected freedom of religion?

hi connie, that wasn't my understanding.
in saudi arabia it is a 2 year jail term for having a Bible.
An english air hostess was kept off that route cause she wanted to wear her cross.
Other beliefs in muslim countries are "strangled" out. Not allowed to build or repair any churches there, have to pay an extra tax. legally have virtually no rights.
Prob a muslim told you that. I had one tell me the koran was like the 3rd testament to the bible !!!

I'm sorry Connie... but you've been extremely misled.

It's actually illegal to practice other religions in Islamic countries... even so-called advanced countries like Saudi Arabia. I think it's quite common in majority Islamic countries to execute an ex-Muslim for converting.

Even if religions are allowed 'by law' (Which I think it is in Turkey) it doesn't mean that Muslims accept it. They use threats, intimidation and other @sshole acts to get them to covert. Peer pressure basically.

That is incorrect

They use threats, intimidation and other @sshole acts

Sorta like vilification?
