The Piccabeen People



Anchored in the earth.
Huge knuckles burrow deeply.
Soft yielding soil is leaf strewn.

We walk at your feet.
Giving shelter, comfort, solace
You wave from above, swaying.

Hundreds of feet up, straight up.
Miles of timber are loftily supported.

Your shining white arms reach up to the skies.
Flourishing with a wreath of flowers, leaves, food.
Gifts of beauty float down as seasons pass.
