Some are good and some are bad, but overall they are there to protect us. Often when you get into a scrape and manage to escape it safely - that's one of our angels helping us.

mantra - excellent piccie of an angel.
Can see a few bruises on his shoulder - a real working bloke angel

There is an plan of an angelic painting in my mind , I will have to commission an artist to paint it.

Picture it

"Desert scene at night, full moon, a road winds its way from the distant to the foreground.
A sole woman driving the car in the foreground is singing away merrily while driving, to stay awake at night on the drive.
She is totally unaware one of her tyres is dead flat. Unaware because an Angel is supporting that rear cornor of her car as she drives. He is holding it up and flying at her speed.
In the distance is a horde of motorcyclists follow her. Can see their single head beams only .
Just visible in the foreground of the painting is a garage ahead of the woman.
The lights on and open, a few trucks there with guys out the front shaking hands and greeting each other amicably. She will marry one of the drivers in the future.
The Angel in on route to another job, this is just a small detour he took on command. The task he is on now is generally done by "lower" angels, he was just on the scene at the time.
He is on his way to a BIG heavenly battle.
The Angel has a wing that is partially broken from a previous battle."

I go to get it painted. Not talented enough myself

They're supernatural entities. The Skeptic's Dictionary explains them nicely.

There’s something there…. In a different realm… how many times have we had a close call and thought there must be something looking out for us!
And then there’s that expression to never drive faster than your angels can fly.

But alas, we all have free will no matter who or what is in another realm…. but often I had thought… is it luck or is it something more that’s at play?

Then I think of little kids that are sexually abused and ruined… where’s their protection? Is a demonic presence in certain adults stronger than a child’s protective angel?
