That's true.  The States need the money and the Federal Govt is greedy for the money.  Both State and Federal also find it cheaper to sell everything off - mind you - our taxes aren't reduced as many services are privatised.

It's all a rort and spiralling out of control.  If we can hang onto our hospitals and state schools - that will at least be something.  If the ALP manage to get in next year - Rudd and the States may agree to centralise our public hospital system.  This could be a good thing - and any money saved would go back into health services.

Rudd has said he will do this - but whether or not the money goes back into hospitals will be another story.  Still - I'd rather Labor centralise the hospitals than the Liberals, who are incompetent and sneaky.
