I have been on the internet now since 1987, before there was an internet in fact. I remember when it was Ausnet which consisted of dial up links between university campuses. I remember the creation of AARNet, with it's dedicated tie links. I also remember when munnari came on line and the establishment of the satellite downlink from Hawaii to Melbourne for the Voyager space probe flybys. I remember when the term the "internet" was first coined and started to be used.
