Giving credit where it's due, we'll done.

Defence Minister Richard Marles says Australia’s place in the AI race is the most critical moment for national self-reliance since World War II, as he heads to San Francisco to advance a $21 billion deal that would boost Australia’s stake in the technology’s development.

The deputy prime minister told this masthead the timeframe for locking in an agreement to make Australia a second home for Anthropic was measured in months not years “because the technology is moving so fast”, adding urgency to his trip.

US President Donald Trump has delivered a major blow to Anthony Albanese’s tech agenda by telling world leaders he would oppose a push to create an international body to oversee AI regulation, after his administration issued its blunt opposition to Labor’s proposed digital duty of care laws.

After the Prime Minister signed a statement with more than 20 world leaders calling for an international framework on AI safeguards, Mr Trump used his address to the UN General Assembly in New York to declare he “totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control for the artificial intelligence”.

Maxing data centres = mass surveillance, creation of comprehensive digital profiles, behavioural profiling, and predictive policing without adequate judicial oversight for the Australian population.

Once fully in place, Ai will regulate everyone's thinking so it's desired actions will be enacted by all.

Feudal slavery on steroids.

Albanese's Labor is working in the interests of American Ai, not Australians.
