Ha! I played my Snooker soft and slow, my Pool hard and fast. Never got to play Billy.
I played so many sports, even Netball, I was the immaculate all-rounder utility. Made State in Union. Won a B-grade Basketball title. Won a School zone Hockey title and at Indoor Cricket, Squash and a few more awards in League, Aussie Rules and 100m Sprinting.
All in all, I played for 'fun & social'. Coaches loved me and hated me, as too teammates. I was good, but I didn't care about winning. To me, Sport was just about keeping fit. Nothing else. At the most, I provided some flukey unorthodox moments for entertainment and to humiliate the opposition. Hell, I even jumped in the ring at Geales gym against the Liberty Valance (ex-pro 35 fights) with the Australian UFC champ at the time softening me up for a few rounds before that. Lost both, but loved the honour of challenging them.

Sport was fun and fitness. Nothing more.

But Rugby Union has proven to be the superior code in regards to male development, character, personal success in life after sport and relationships.
League & Rules seem to bring out the worst. With players often involved with drug & alcohol issues, domestic violence, gambling and other unlawful afflictions.
Rugby Union culture is a more positive influence like high academia and technical careers, rather than doing adverts like Lowes. Roll Eyes

“Two-Test journeyman shock choice to captain Wallabies against Japan
Nick Champion de Crespigny is the new Wallabies captain.
Nick Champion de Crespigny only debuted in Super Rugby, and for Australia, this year. But he will lead a massively changed Wallabies side into battle against Eddie Jones’ Japan on Saturday.”

The Argies have caught onto their 'superpower' to now compete effectively against the dominating Boks and All Blacks (they really look like big yellow Taiwanese Wink).
They play a much faster game than the Clever Boks and Smart All Blacks (who don't like refs who are onto their sneaky rule pushes).
With the Boks and Allblacks being physically bigger. The Argies aren't chasing their weakness in comparison, they're following their strength in a much faster gameplay which as we have seen, leaves the Boks and All Blacks on the back foot by 5 metres both in forward and back plays.

As for Wallabies. A Captain is about the right character. Not about the contingency plan of having played more games than the others. Let's hope he is the right Captain material.
Now the Wallabies are STILL playing like they have since their abysmal loosing doldrums from nearly 15 BLOODY years ago!🙄

To compete with and win over the Boks and All Blacks. The secret is in how they lose all the time!
How? SA & NZ always PHYSICALLY DOMINATE OVER AUSTRALIA.
The weak Wallaby is always there to be seen. They just can't compete physically against these two and even the Brit Lions, France, etc.
We can't play a faster game like the Argies, to be competitive. We only have ONE fast player. Roll Eyes
Schmidt has to pick and train STRONGER PLAYERS. Players who can out-muscle the Boks & All Blacks.
It's where the Wallabies have been lacking against these two for nearly 20 FRIGGIN years now!

...and if they can't find such players to fill a team (for fear of getting their heads kicked in by the AFL & NRL players). Then they need to find that niche-gimmick style that the other three don't have.
My advice?

They need to prove they are better than League and Rules - tougher, meaner, hungrier and real ALPHA MALE stuff. Looking inwards, sometimes beats the enemy from beyond the walls.

That's my answer and as always proven, I will be right.
Afterall. I got right up the Wallabies (v All Blacks) when they played at Olympic Park Melbourne, from the sideline the whole match! I purposely wore a QLD wife beater navy blue singlet and didn't stop shouting at them the entire match. Even the ref went off injured. I inspired them to play as tough as I was projecting at them🤬. Matty Burke was so revved up he gave Frank Bunce quite a few uppercuts.  Cool

Now if I've gotta do a Chopper Reed and walk into the Wallaby change room armed and feeling dangerous to show them how much I believe in them.......

As Johnny Lydon (via P.I.L., not sex pistols) sang in the song RISE.
"ANGER IS AN ENERGY"
...and boy did I show it to the Wallabies that match. Wink

The Black Hole continues...

Wallabies spaghettified by Italy 26-19, even with aWallaby try allied from an obvious knock-on.

David Campese is right. The Selectors are incompetent and the team play like Mercenaries rather than patriots.
The karma of this is Australian born and blonde Lynagh scoring against the Wallabies .

No. You can always tube the highlights clip.
Wallabies giving away a lot of penalty kicks between the post says a lot about their performance.

I only want to watch the matches live and for free in full HD on TV.

We shouldn't have to pay for sport -
the adverts should pay for it.

Australian TV is so bad, they want people to pay for it.
We already pay for the ABC and look at how bad that has become - just a platform for bias and discriminating Leftism.
You would have thought it is the ABC's job to have televised that match for free regardless of the time frame.

Yep - we pay over $1 billion per year for the ABC and
we don't even get to watch the footy -
instead we get a platform for progressive, left wing, cultural Marxists -
who spew out their dystopian propaganda on an hourly basis.
