Game they play in Heaven?  I debuted in first grade at eighteen and was trashed by what felt like the entire University forward pack  .... broken collar bone... my son later captained the University of Southern Queensland side... one time I was spear tackled by two Waratahs forwards... I think they were sent off but I don't remember.... the crowd booed anyway... calling .. "OFF... OFF... OFF" ...

Go the Wallabies against Lions.... ROOOARRR!!

Those were the days.... men were men and women were women and women didn't have penises and men didn't have vag ..... and an Abo player was the same as everyone else..... now 'he' - depending on his identification - would expect to lay a claim over the field as stolen land or something... generational disadvantage due to being child of a lesser culture and wanting to remain immersed in Loser Ideology.

Our best Rugby players are in the League -
that's why we are losing against the Lions playing Union.

The Wallabies need to find their balls again and remember what it is to WIN!  A few years back I think John Eales said they had forgotten how to win... same as Joey said the Knights had forgotten how to win.... all the talent and skill is right there... go for it!!

That's what I mean - they lost their balls and their focus on winning - now they play like a pack of sheilas.

The Waratahs - who should be a pre-eminent side in the Rugby world are the same.  They sort of go through the motions without attaining the outcomes.... the Pigs do all the work and there is no depth in the inside backs, and the fifteen stone wingers are now a farce.

Where are the inside centres who change the direction and catch the opposition on the wrong foot?  My BEST try was taking the ball - as left winger - cutting in and taking the ball direct from the half back at a scrum on the 'burst' and going through no less than 5-6 defenders to score a try from just over 25m out. EVERY defender was wrong-footed .... the Wallabies seem to be playing a percentage game and trying to physically overwhelm the opposition, and it is not working to disrupt the set defence of the opposition.

They need skill in the inside backs and some disrupting plays like that - wingers arriving instantly at the point of contest and showing heels ... it's there but somehow lost ... and they need that kind of pattern-busting play.  Their coaches need to look at the defensive patterns of their opposition and work out how to chop those to bits.

Stodgy eight man Rugby is not working.

I'll be watching ...... and probably groaning...

Played in a warm up game against an under 21 NZ team. Spent about 70 minutes being trampled by giant Kiwi's, One of the most miserable afternoons of my life. Prefer RL but was probably a better Rugby player.

I'm not the coach - I can't motivate the players.

Know it - played a schoolies game against NZ - as fullback - in a 'warm-up'... those guys were ferocious.

BTW - we drew the match.  I didn't score for a change ...

Gentlemen play Rugby - they don't expect kudos from some form of victory just from gamesmanship.  When Rugby becomes a business......... Western civilisation falls...

I signed up for the Open Weight division at school because my best friend was the captain... I was a good stone and a half under weight.... but that's what men do.... now he is grossly over-weight at 76  and very sick - and I am going to wash his windows, do his washing up and his washing, take out his garbage, and clean his house.

I am 76.

No man is left behind in Grappler country.

When Gentlemen leave this earth and are replaced by scum-bags - this world as we know it will disappear.

Na - maybe once but a long time ago. I found that among the private school it was a game dominated by snobs.

There's only one thing I thank Rugby Union for - it showed me where I really belonged ......

in the backs .... not busting a gut playing breakaway or second row.

When I was 17, the reserve grade coach at Gatton College said to me would I like to have a run outside centre when he'd given my second row possie to one of his arse licker mates....

I said sure ..... had a ball, scored a try & set one up

never went in a forward pack again.

I played Rugby League in the centres (only played a bit of Union whilst at College & Boarding school) after that in an under 18 side back in my home town the following year 1974 - 1975 I went into A GRADE in the centres but ended up on the left wing.

Played until 1985 on the wing or on occasion to fill in at centre. Bit of reserve grade on and off til 1991.
