Breaking: Peter Stevens Motorcycles to enter voluntary administration  Shocked

https://infomoto.com.au/news/breaking-peter-stevens-motorcycles-to-enter-volunta...

I’m a bit stunned! We knew the 3 brothers from way back in the 70s in our biking days.

I’m thinking must be younger family members now in family business…

Wow - Peter Stevens has been around since the 1970s.

I think motorbikes are less popular now -

they are just too dangerous to ride on our congested roads.

I used to buy parts from Peter Stevens in the city back in the 1980s.

They would order them from Japan if they weren't in stock.

Okay then… I found this report that explains it all.
It’s not through any fault of anyone, when you read the whole article, problems seemed to have started during 2020 COVID era.
(As sadly so many we know have struggled and closed since)

Remember that cafe/restaurant called Fonzie’s Diner in Canterbury Road, Kilsyth.
Well they closed down (family business that started before COVID, then spent until last October chasing their tails with expenses)
That building is still empty and up for lease.
Who would want to bother going into that kind of work… rent, insurance, etc
Every time I drive past that place I feel sad it closed down.
I used to love going there for a cuppa, and those potato waffle were so good!
