In February, this masthead revealed the daughter of former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps chief Yahya Rahim Safavi had been granted permanent residency and provisional health qualifications, despite sustained warnings to Home Affairs and the Albanese government.

Psychologist Hanieh Safavi had lived in both Townsville and Melbourne while her father supported the late ayatollah Ali Khamenei as his most senior military adviser.

General Safavi is one of the most senior regime figures left alive since the US-Israel strike on Iran and gave an interview to state TV early in hostilities, where he claimed Iran had “complete oversight” of foreign targets and knew “the locations of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s meetings”.

The US Department last month offered a $10m bounty for information on General Safavi through its Rewards for Justice program. He is fifth on a list of IRGC key leaders.

Is immigration a cultural enrichment or a threat to religious identity? We tackle this contentious question head-on with Father Chad Ripperger as we dissect the complex interplay between immigration and its repercussions on Christian nations. This episode navigates the polarizing reactions to the Pope's views, from fiery criticism to devout allegiance, while pondering the risks of multiculturalism and religious relativism, especially for the youth who are maturing in heterogeneous religious landscapes. By drawing insights from historical contexts, including medieval policies and papal decrees, we consider how Christian societies have historically walked the delicate line between welcoming newcomers and safeguarding their faith and autonomy.

Discover the provocative notion of the "fetishization" of immigrants and its potential impact on national identity and citizen welfare. We explore whether current immigration policies could be a covert strategy to dilute cultural unity and facilitate ideological transformations. Our conversation takes an intriguing turn as we look at historical parallels, like the Spanish colonization of South America, and how cultural assimilation has shaped societies. Join us for a thought-provoking dialogue that challenges the status quo and encourages a profound reflection on the cultural and religious dimensions of immigration.

Australia's Immigration Minister Tony Burke tells Indian media he wants to give citizenship to all temporary visa holders "who continue to be here".

There are currently 2.9 million foreigners on temporary visas.
https://www.noticer.news/immigration-minister-wants-temporary-visa-holders-citiz...

Almost 2.5 million immigrants have arrived in Australia under Labor Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, for an net overseas migration intake of approximately 1.5 million people, exacerbating Australia’s housing and cost-of-living crises, putting pressure on infrastructure, and further damaging social cohesion.

These refugees ‘lost’ their passports and IDs, but somehow managed to keep their phones and cigarettes intact.

Fascinating!

Four Muslim men have been arrested during a series of raids by armed police for allegedly possessing and distributing ISIS propaganda in Melbourne.

One man, who lives in Roxburgh Park and is now 20, was stopped by Australian Border Force officers after arriving from Turkey on November 29, 2024, and another, now 21, was intercepted while trying to leave for Turkey on June 1 last year.

Labor has revised its net overseas migration forecasts upwards once again in the 2026 Federal Budget, and now admits it will be at least 55,000 higher than previously expected over the next two years.

The estimated net overseas migration (NOM) figure for the 2025-26 financial year is now 295,000, up from the 260,000 predicted in December, and 245,000 in 2026-27, an increase of 20,000 on the previous forecast.

Labor claims it will then fall to 225,000 in 2027-28, even though every forecast has been exceeded since 2022, adding up to 765,000 over the next three years.

Added to the previous three years’ NOM of 305,000, 429,000 and 538,000, this means total net overseas migration will be at least 2 million under the Albanese Labor government by the next federal election, which is due by May 2028.

Not so long ago, during the "Troubles", Britons were still permitted to notice "the obvious": There was a "division", fairly profound, between those who favored a United Kingdom and those who favored a united Ireland. Regrettable as it may be, it was openly acknowledged - and, indeed, reconciling the "division" and the contradictions was the heart of the Good Friday Agreement et al. In this century, a 2013 post-Charlie Hebdo poll for the BBC reported that 24 per cent of British Muslims believe that "violence against people who publish images of Mohammed can be justified" (see here - and enjoy the non-divisive BBC headline). A 2006 poll for Channel 4 found that 28 per cent of British Muslims dreamed of the United Kingdom becoming an Islamic state, and 19 per cent "respected" Osama bin Laden.

But, unlike the Irish, that division can never be acknowledged
.

(Speaking of Ireland, 37 per cent of Irish Muslims think the Emerald Isle should be an Islamic state. That's not the answer to the Irish Question Gladstone would have come up with, but it seems as likely as any of the traditional choices.)

Manchester's Soldier of Allah lived his entire life on the other side of that unacknowledged division. So too did his family, and large numbers of their social circle (as we'll explore later this week). And so too will thousands and thousands of those arriving at Dover and Gatwick and Manchester today, and tomorrow, and the day after.

Britain is "divided", perhaps fatally. It's not so much the comparatively small numbers of suicide bombers, or even the support group of family and friends - the dad who works at the mosque pending his return to the battlefield, the sister who congratulates him on entering Paradise, the sister's schoolmates who drop out to be become brides of Isis, the bomb-maker who lives down the street, the other friends and family who turn a blind eye to it all. Beyond all that is the larger comfort zone of "British" Muslims who support the ultimate goal of Salman Abedi - an Islamic state where once was England - and for the most part live their daily lives as if it's already here. "Britain" has no purchase on them, and its "values" command no allegiance - even though, lest they give offense, non-divisive officials are careful never to spell out precisely what those "values" are". Easier to chant the approved abstractions, and warn against the non-approved ones: Diversity good, division bad.

But in Britain and Europe they sowed diversity and reaped division. The ever widening division was sown by Mrs May and M Juncker and Frau Merkel and all the others who insist on importing more Abedis and more of those who turn a blind eye to the Abedis, day by day, year on year. Only when that ends can there be even the possibility of healing the division.

Immigration should be, and often is, culturally enriching; but "religious identity" is a separatist force among scriptural literalists.

Whereas atheists just fight over "fair" taxation.....

My plan - why, to defeat the market vultures!

The Twelve Step Program:-

chop mass immigration to zero -
import only necessaries -
deport those who have not made a real go of things here or who have proven to be criminals -
stick to full privileges in taxation only on new construction (though where any meaningful HOUSES ar going to go anywhere near the major cities that control the albour market is beyond me -
split the huge and unwieldy states up and let the city slickers wallow in their own filth of great ideas fueled by social science lunacy -
alter the foundation of our Senate and electoral process to destroy the power of the major parties -
cut government waste poured into useless ventures such as commissions and funding Aboriginal failure and put it where it is best used in services to all in the community -
re-industrialise using the most up-to-date tech and exploit our own resources for our own benefit -
look at really high tech industries such as drones and so forth -
implement the GAIA projects I've mooted for years and some of which are now coming to fruition (no royalties for me, though).

in brief
China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia are among the countries that do not allow their citizens to hold dual nationality.
The Coalition's plans could force citizens of those countries to choose between their passports and support.

Country shopers are kvetching, but...

The changes would mean that only Australian citizens could access benefits including JobSeeker, Youth allowance, carer payment, Austudy, the NDIS, and pensions. Exactly how much money the Coalition's plans would save taxpayers has not been provided.

Permanent residents, who are taxpayers, have always had access to basic social benefits, but successive Coalition governments have implemented delay periods for welfare access.

Currently, new arrivals must wait four years to access most benefits and up to 10 years for aged and disability pensions.

"Citizenship matters," Taylor said on Monday while on a national campaign following his budget reply. "If people commit to this country, if immigrants commit to this country, we will commit to them."

SBS News spoke to multiple people who expressed frustration about the implication that people might have to choose to forego dual citizenship status and choose Australian citizenship in order to gain benefits, if the Coalition's policy were to become law.

Of the 195 countries recognised by the UN, 120 allow for multiple citizenships, but countries like China and India that have large diaspora communities in Australia, don't.

Good policy.

Foreign nationals generally cannot access Indian government welfare schemes, as these are funded by taxpayer revenue and strictly reserved for Indian citizens.

China: While foreigners contribute to unemployment insurance, collecting the benefits is highly difficult in practice. This is because a foreigner's right to remain in the country is tied directly to their work visa; if they lose their job, their visa is revoked, requiring them to leave the country.

Foreigners in Malaysia generally have highly restricted access to government welfare. The national social safety net, primarily administered by the Department of Social Welfare (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM)), is overwhelmingly reserved for Malaysian citizens

Indian hypocrite : "Excluding non-citizens out of these  welfare payments is just inhumane."

A Sydney mosque has reapplied to install loudspeakers on its minaret so it can broadcast a Muslim call to prayer across the local area, after a previous application was knocked back.

The Lakemba Mosque, the largest in Australia, had its first bid to blast the Arabic prayer call from four loudspeakers for 15 minutes every Friday turned down by Canterbury-Bankstown Council’s local planning council in August last year.

All but one of 329 public submissions on the proposal were negative, with many raising concerns over noise, amenity impacts, and housing prices, but the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA), which owns the mosque, responded by blaming the objections on “islamophobia”.

The LMA lodged a new application last month, which is now open for public submissions, and LMA general secretary Gamel Kheir again accused opponents of the plan of racism, calling their concerns a “blatantly racist, ‘islamophobic’ slur dressed up as concern for civil and community rights”.

So if you do not want to hear a call to Islamic prayer through loudspeakers in your Sydney suburb you a waist Islamophobe.

“ One hundred million is a ridiculous number for a dry country like Australia.”

He called on the government to cap Australia’s population at 30 million.

The ABS estimates a person arrives to live in Australia every 59 seconds while the overall population increases by one person every 75 seconds.

The figures show Australia’s population has grown by almost 500,000 people in the past year and by more than one million since 2023.”

But just imagine how many more politicians we will need.

There’s a method in the madness!

A Mongolian immigrant rideshare driver has been charged with raping a teenage girl in his car in Sydney.

Amarbayasgalan Yondonlodoi, 50, picked up the 17-year-old at about 7.30am on Tuesday but allegedly stopped in North Sydney, climbed in the back seat and sexually assaulted her.

The student visa holder then continued driving for DiDi until he was arrested while dropping off a passenger at Sydney International Airport at abolut 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Ludicrous.
