It wasn't hard for me. Dead Can Dance (Aust/NZ).
They took the alternative world music by storm. Disbanded to follow successful solo careers (you might recognise Gerrard's effort with Zimmerman in the movie Gladiator) and reformed to still sell out concerts.

If I need to choose one BAND it has to be Iron Maiden. A constant through my life, they are bigger than ever, making better music than ever, and the physical embodiment of heavy metal.

I've been to metal festivals in Europe and you could be kicked out for being right wing. I've seen people be kicked out for selling hitler themed merch. Nazis exist and the metal world hates them
