Assaults on Muslims: 75 % of people do not help
Nov 20th, 2018 at 3:44pm

Only 25% of Australians are decent people? 75% are complicit?

Brave extremists of Gordon, Yadda, and Vlkies ilk are attacking Muslim women because they fear Muslim men?

https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/new-report-finds-75-per-ce...

Quote:
New report finds 75 per cent of people do not help when they see a Muslim being abused in public
A DISTURBING new report has revealed that three out of four people do not intervene if they see this happening in public.

IF you saw a woman being verbally attacked by a man in the street, would you stop to help?

The answer for many of us would seem to be a no brainer.

But a disturbing new report has revealed that if the woman being attacked is wearing a hijab, three out of four times we look the other way.

The startling statistic emerged in new analysis of Islamophobic-fuelled attacks reported to the Islamophobia Register of Australia in a 14-month period between 2014-15.

Charles Sturt University’s Associate Professor Mehmet Ozalp examined the 243 cases and made some confronting finds.

Women wearing a hijab or other Islamic head coverings are overwhelmingly bearing the brunt of public Islam hate attacks — and the overwhelming majority of the attacks are perpetrated by men.

Sydney’s Asma Fahmi was one of the women who reported an Islamophobic attack to the Islamophobia Register of Australia.

Assoc Prof Ozalp’s analysis found about 80 per cent of verified anti-Islam attacks were inflicted on Muslim women and about 75 per cent of the attacks were inflicted by Anglo men.

But perhaps even more frightening is the reluctance of bystanders to call out the often random, hate-fuelled attacks.

Just 25 per cent of victims reported that witnesses attempted to intervene.

One third of the women who reported being attacked had children with them at the time.

Assoc Prof Ozalp wrote in The Conversation that while there was a spike in attacks after terrorist-related events, mostly, the attacks were fuelled by the tightly held belief among many Australians that Muslims simply do not belong in Australia.

“They are simply at the receiving end of the anger and rage caused by the Islamophobic generalisation that something is inherently wrong with Muslims and Islam,” he said.

“Significantly, evidence presented in the report suggests that Islamophobia is not rooted in Islamic terrorism as previously thought but rooted in Muslims’ presence in Australia.”

Sadly, it often takes little to provoke an attack on Muslims.

Yesterday, a Perth court heard carpenter Adam Peters ripped a headscarf from Hulya Kandemir, 35, and threw his beer bottle and rocks at her late last year, after she replied “happy holidays” to one of his children who wished her a Merry Christmas.

Perth Now reported Peters was sitting outside on a bench near a shopping centre drinking a beer before the scuffle ensued.

He urged his daughter to wish Ms Kandemir a Merry Christmas and attacked her with a volley of racial abuse when he did not like her reply.

Human rights lawyer Mariam Veiszadeh founded the Islamophobia Register of Australia, and has also been victim to a number of vile, anti-Islam attacks.

Ms Kandemir told the court that Peters called her a “f***ing Muslim front bottom” before the attack took place.

He allegedly also hurled rocks at her as she ran away.

A witness said she heard Peters tell the Muslim woman he would kill her next time he saw her.

It also emerged yesterday that fourth generation Pakistani-Australian and spoken word poet

Zohab Zee Khan was spoken to by a security guard in the food court of a Canberra shopping centre, after he set up his laptop to work and shoppers raised concerns about him.

“This might sound funny, but quite a few people have been complaining about you typing and looking around,” the security guard told him.

“They think you might be up to something.”

Mr Khan described the incident as a “kick in the guts”.

Zohab Khan raised the suspicion of Canberra shoppers he believes, simply for the way he looks.

“I genuinely cannot remember the last time I have been more upset at the utter rubbish that is paranoid ignorant xenophobes,” he said.

But while there remains an apparently deeply-entrenched suspicion of Muslims in some parts of the Australian community, the study by Assoc Prof Ozalp also unearthed those who do not stand for it.

While 25 per cent of witnesses did not get involved in attacks on Muslims, the same percentage of non-Muslims actually reported attacks they had witnessed to the Islamophobia Register.

Assoc Prof Ozalp wrote that Islamophobia had long been a problem in Australia, and, in particular, in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. ... Quote:

More of the

"POOR OLD MUZZO. I AM SO HARD DONE BY"

I wonder how many muzzos would step in and stop the harassment of humans by muzzos when they attack in packs.

let me make it easy for you.......ZERO

You cant have an entire demographic continually screaming they hate you and expect altruism from those they scream at.

You cannot keep telling people they are infidels and that their culture is crap and expect them to graciously accept it.

You cannot protest and threaten everyone and expect people to step in when it bounces back on you.

Ill bet a totally different result would be evident if it were a normal human rather than a tent.

So what is the percentage if they aren't Muslim?

That doesn't actually quantify anything. The first two paragraphs quoted appear to be editorialising.

Can you refute anything the ex muslim Ali Sina says about Islamophobia?

Quote:
"Islamophobia" is ad hominem

One friend alerted me to a discussion going on in Wikipedia on the neologism  “Islamophobia”. Someone has suggested that this category should be deleted because the term Islamophobia is divisive, inflammatory and it is frequently used to inhibit very valid criticism of Islam.

Islam is an ideology. Rejection of an ideology cannot be classified as phobia. To call the opponents of an ideology phobic is a fallacy. All ideologies have their critics and opponents but we do not hear Christians calling the critics of Christianity Christianophobe, communists calling their critics communitophobe or Hindus calling theirs hinduphobe. The term "Islamophobia" is both technically and logically incorrect and misleading.

According to Dictionary.com Phobia is “a persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous.”  Therefore the neologism "Islamophobia" implies that Islam is not dangerous and the fear of it is irrational.

This claim has not been established and it is not universally agreed upon. There are many who argue that Islam is indeed a dangerous ideology and they have their logical arguments to prove their claim. Irrespective of whether the critics of Islam are right or wrong about whether Islam is dangerous or not, calling them “phobic” implies that their criticism has been already refuted and the irrationality of their fear of Islamic threat has been established. Therefore their disagreement with Islam is not logical but a mental disorder.

All ideologies have their opponents. It is sheer arrogance to call criticism of any ideology, phobia. This implies that the truth of that ideology is already established and anyone opposing it is adopting an irrational position and is in need of psychological help.

Only Muslims are capable of this much irrationality and arrogance.( and their apologists)

Buddhism is by all accounts a peaceful religion as non-violence is the core of it. Despite that Buddhism has its critics and we never call then Buddhistphobes.

The neologism Islamophobia makes absolutely no sense. It is derogatory and is used in a pejorative way to discredit the critics of Islam from the outset.

Phobia is a disorder. Here is a short list of a few phobias: Achluophobia or Lygophobia (fear of darkness), Acrophobia, (fear of heights), Androphobia (fear of men), Aviatophobia (fear of flying), Chiraptophobia (fear of being touched), Claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces), Coitophobia (fear of coitus), Decidophobia (fear of making decisions),  Agrophobia or Demophobia (fear of crowds), Eleutherophobia (fear of freedom), Gynophobia (fear of women), Hadephobia (fear of hell -this is the phobia affecting all the Muslims), Hylophobia (fear of forests),  Insectophobia, (fear of insects), Isolophobia (fear of solitude, being alone), Necrophobia, (fear of death or dead things), Neophobia (fear of anything new), Phasmophobia, (fear of ghosts), Philophobia, (fear of falling in love or being in love), Xenophobia, (fear of strangers or foreigners), etc. (For more see this)

How can criticism of Islam fall into this category? These are all irrational fears that require therapy. Are Muslims suggesting that the critics of Islam should receive therapy? We can’t classify disagreement with Islam as phobia. Islam is an ideology. Phobia is irrational fear of things, people or situations but not beliefs. You can't be phobic of a belief system. Beliefs per se are not frightening. It's people who follow nefarious beliefs that become dangerous and frightening. As one can see, the very term "Islamophobia" is stupid because Islam is a belief system and it is not possible to be phobic of a belief. From whichever angle you look at Islam you find its stupidity glaring at you.

The neologism “Islamophobia”, is therefore the symptom of the intellectual bankruptcy of Muslim clerisy to come up with logical arguments and defend Islam against criticism in a rational way. "Islamophobia" is an ad hominen. It is a logical fallacy and an insult hurled at the critics of Islam. It highlights the fact that Islam is a lie, unable to withstand criticism. That is why Muslims need censorship and must eliminate the truth by brutal force (law suits or violence) to protect their lie.
The very existence of this neologism is a tacit confession of Muslims that Islam is a lie, which can't be defended logically and that ad hominem and censorship are the only ways to defend it.

BaronVonRort picks on a Muslim woman to exhibit his manhood.

BaronVonRort would be more likely to be an attacker than a defender in an attack on a Muslim woman.

I remember when the Moslems crapped themselves big time!
When 10,000 Sydney-siders (Mostly Sharkies supporters) organised in just 3 days to give the Moslems are real arse-kicking!!!
It was only the Police & Media who prevented the Moslems from being run out of the country, by coming down on the Australians for being 'RACISTS'.

Now after the smoke had cleared and the Aussies 'suppressed'. The Moslems started ATTACKING CHRISTIAN CHURCHES to make out as if it was because of 'Religion' that 10,000 Aussies came together to kick their butts.
It wasn't because of Religion (Christian v Moslem cliché )
It was because some grubs from one part of Sydney thought they could bully another part of Sydney - specifically 'the Beach culture' of Australia and claim it for 'Allah'.

...if it wasn't for the Media/Police/Politicians - the Moslems would be getting their butts kicked right now for their TERRORISM.

WELCOME TO AUSTRALIA YA MOSLEM ****
WELCOME TO THE BIFF!

If 25℅ of people intervene when a Muslim is abused that's a truckload better than the a average.

Is the article making the case that Muslim women get preferential treatment compared to the average over all people?
