I think you would have to be very gullible not to see the timing in connection with the Israel-Saud negotiations. But on the subject of "overreaction," I'd give them a lot a latitude, although Saud will not. Israel will probably go in hard anyway. I'll cheer every explosion.

If Israel overreacts, Hamas and Iran will be agitating for the conflict to spread throughout the Middle East. With the US no longer as interested in the region, any war would be about a battle among regional powers in the area - namely Israel, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

I'm wondering how much US security agencies knew of this attack beforehand - currently, it seems Mossad were not aware of it.

It's always been in the interests of Israel's enemies to keep the Palestinians in their overcrowded and underfunded micro state to continue breeding successive generations of recruits for the terrorist organisations and act as a stick to beat the Israelis with on the world stage.   
They can't allow anything that may alleviate conditions for these people to happen, which is why this possible improvement in Israel - Saudi Arabia relations has been met with this attack.

I'd bet they'll be hoping for a mass expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza which will fuel an expanded war and provide a massive supply of displaced Palestinians who will ultimately swell the numbers of Palestinian militants. It wouldn't be hard to imagine that Palestinians living in the overcrowded and under-resourced Gaza have lost interest in building a micro-state or even living there anyway. It's always been in the interests of Israel's enemies to keep the Palestinians in their overcrowded and underfunded micro state to continue breeding successive generations of recruits for the terrorist organisations and act as a stick to beat the Israelis with on the world stage.    They can't allow anything that may alleviate conditions for these people to happen, which is why this possible improvement in Israel - Saudi Arabia relations has been met with this attack.

It will likely be a case of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' with Saudi Arabia - although they'd need to tread careful.

Saudi Arabia is done with the Shi'ite mafia of Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah.

Every Hamas member is a dead man, Netanyahu says 


Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said every Hamas member was "a dead man" after the first meeting of his country's emergency government.

Alongside him, opposition figure Benny Gantz said it was "a time for war".

But US President Joe Biden said he had spoken to Mr Netanyahu and made it clear that Israel must "operate by the rules of war".

The death toll in Israel has reached 1,200. More than 1,100 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes on Gaza.

Mr Biden said he understood the anger and frustration of the Israeli people but urged Israel to adhere to the principles of the Geneva conventions. He also warned Iran - which has welcomed the Hamas attack - to "be careful".

Earlier on Wednesday Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gantz agreed to put aside a bitter political rivalry that had escalated into widespread protests.

Mr Gantz told Israeli citizens that the newly-formed government was "united" and ready to "wipe this thing called Hamas off the face of the Earth".

Alongside Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gantz, the centrist National Unity Party leader and a former defence minister, the new temporary cabinet would also include Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

The country's main opposition leader, Yair Lapid, has not joined the alliance. However, Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gantz said in a joint statement that a seat would be reserved for him in the war cabinet.

"During the war period, no bills or government decisions will be promoted that do not concern the conduct of the war," said a statement.

"All senior appointments will be automatically extended during the war period."

The emergency government will give broader national consensus to military action. It also brings to the war cabinet two voices who are experts in military strategy. Both Mr Gantz and also Gadi Eisenkot, who joins as an observer, are former Israeli military chiefs of staff.

The announcement of the new cabinet came in the wake of savage attacks by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt list the Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation.

Death toll in Gaza rises to 1,537, health ministry says

At least 1,537 Palestinians have been killed since Israel started strikes on Gaza following the deadly Hamas attack last Saturday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Gaza and WB were occupied territories by Egypt and Jordan before1967.  Had the Arabs not attacked Iusrael, they would STILL be occupied territories by Egypt and Gaza.

The same in 1947. The Jews accepted the partition, the Arabs started a jihad war instead.

The Jews want peace, the Muslims want jihad to eliminate the Jews.  Work the two state solution with that.

Israel's military informed the United Nations early on Friday that the 1.1 million Palestinians in Gaza should relocate to the enclave's south within the next 24 hours, a UN spokesman said, in what Palestinians fear could be a precursor to a planned Israeli ground offensive.

The Israeli military did not immediately provide comment on the warning, which came as Israel amassed tanks near the Gaza border and pounded the Palestinian enclave with air strikes following a deadly Hamas militant attack in Israel.
