Title: Re: you know theres actually a Sustainable Australia Post by Aquarius on Jan 31st, 2024 at 1:26pm I'm a Sustainable Australia Party voter. But they need to do more to attract some good candidates. Dick Smith was a member and he influenced many police on the Northern Beaches to vote for them. My son told me that one stormy day, a police colleague noticed a helicopter landing in a paddock up around Terrey Hills. He drove into the paddock and a guy jumped out of the helicopter and raced over to the police car and jumped in. It was Dick Smith and for the next 20 mins or so while they were stuck in this deluge Dick proceded to have a long discussion on the benefits of voting for the SAP - it was just before the election. To this cop, it all made sense and he convinced a lot of other officers to also vote for them. Unfortunately there are not enough Dick Smiths to get the word out. |

I personally can't see such a Party disappearing anytime soon.
It's a core theme to most things. Shame it wasn't around for the Denisovan Aborigines in Tasmania or the Thylacines. |

Title: Re: you know theres actually a Sustainable Australia Post by AusGeoff on Feb 6th, 2024 at 12:31am I agree in full with the Party's Victorian platform... • Campaign against rapid population growth, • Campaign for tighter residential planning laws, • Scaling back Australia's migration rate to 70,000 people a year while preserving refugee intakes at 14,000 to 20,000, • Giving real power to local communities in planning decisions, • Increasing charges to developers when land is rezoned for housing. |

Same, as first pref. I don't go along with their 'climate emergency' rhetoric. Devolve more power to local decision making - yes. Population policy - yes. It is a bit like one Nation with Chris 'Greta' Bowen as the Environment something. At best/worst, it will always be only a balance of power party in any parliament. They are a youthful One Nation without the personality label of Hanson. I respect Hanson for her tenacity and she was right to tap into an important political current. But a party with the founder's name becomes inevitably a cult of personality to some extent. |

True. However balance of power is quite a powerful thing to get your message out there. The Libs/Labs are destroying this country with their plans for over population. Time to bring some sanity into the equation. |

Once that British Union Jack goes off the Flag.
Australia will become the new global dumping ground with over 1-2 million immigrants per year - for starters. Sure, people living here might say "No!", but Australia by then will be 'owned' by the World and told to just suck it up! The race will be on then for those in this 'New World' as the hordes flood in. |

Title: Re: you know theres actually a Sustainable Australia Post by Aquarius on Feb 19th, 2025 at 8:23pm I'm going to be letterbox dropping 500 flyers for Sustainable Australia. We hope they get their candidate into the Senate. We need that voice of reason. Will be making a donation as well and hopefully anyone here who wants to see a huge reduction in immigration will be voting for them. |
