I support the No Bonk Ban in Federal Government because I believe anything we can do to stop our current politicians from breeding is best for the future of our nation.

Don't worry. Everyone has done it. All good and thanks for the fix.

Well, well, well. The Nationals are playing tougher than the Libs under spineless Ley.
I did say, many years ago (When I spied into both PA forums as Vulcan with a Nationals agenda) - that the Nationals were strongly considering leaving the Coalition... and they did for a week.
But hey, that's just me.

I predict that the Nationals will indeed bring an end to the absolutism of Net Zero here.

It will be interesting to see how the Liberal party handles this. Their nuclear policy cost them dearly at the last election, and is a long term losing strategy. They have some tough decisions ahead of them. They need to either split with the nationals or lose more seats to the teals, Labor etc.

You would think that the first and most impacted by climate would be farmers and country people the Nationals support base. You have to wonder how the Nats survive while selling out their own supporters at every opportunity.

The Nationals have worked in opposition to their support base for many decades. It's mind boggling.

In the real world farmers and country people have seen first hand the destruction caused by these so called 'renewables'  projects and the vast majority want nothing to do with them. One of the latest issues not far from me is the intended destruction of a memorial avenue of trees to allow the transport of wind turbine parts. This is only one of the many problems created by these projects

Grappler's division of the states into more congenial (and maybe congenital with the early settler families) smaller states and re-vamping of the Federal Senate would go a long way towards curbing the power of the two central parties ... a power unearned by the false paradigm of 'preference voting' whereby your vote can go through any number of moves on the chess board before ending up in the hands of the arsehole you voted against.  ( the chess allegory may need a little exploration)...

One Man - One REAL Vote!!

There's a connection here - for those who know the lyrics:-

I think farmers are probably conservative by nature. They are the ones who kept farming while the vast majority of their colleagues over the last few generations gave up and got some other job. Plus, cattle are a potential target of a carbon tax.

They might see the results of climate change, but that doesn't mean they understand it. The impact is still quite small compared to all the short term changes they are constantly dealing with.

Some farmers are making a small fortune renting their land for wind turbines, but regional areas are rife with propaganda against them. At least part of this would be a negotiation strategy.
