Comedian Andrew Schulz pointed out the how some people in America are happy about Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s assassination because they didn’t like his political opinions, but at the same time want due process for people smuggling fentanyl into the United States.

Fentanyl isn't smuggled into the US on boats from Venezuela, or from anywhere else in South America.

Moreover, the Trump administration has not provided a single piece of evidence to support their claims.

Plus, when two of the suspected drug smugglers survived an illegal strike they were not arrested or charged by the Trump administration - they were sent home.

Drug traffickers in South America do not produce or traffic fentanyl.

The State Department’s March 2025 International Narcotics Control Strategy Report stated: “The Department of State, in consultation with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other relevant agencies, has identified Mexico”—especially its northwest, 3,000 miles from Venezuela—“as the only significant source of illicit fentanyl and fentanyl analogues significantly affecting the United States during the preceding calendar year.”

A New York Times analysis concluded on September 3, 2025, “There is no proof that it [fentanyl] is manufactured or trafficked from Venezuela or anywhere else in South America.”

In Colombia, Infobae reported in December 2023, “so far the National Police has not detected any fentanyl production laboratory in Colombia.” A senior police official told WOLA that year that the country’s few detections of fentanyl had been stolen from hospitals or pharmacies.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/pentagon-says-it-struck-another-suspected-drug-...

Nov 16 (Reuters) -

The United States conducted another attack on an alleged drug trafficking boat in the eastern Pacific on Saturday, killing three people aboard, the Pentagon said on Sunday.

"Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was involved in illicit narcotics smuggling,
transiting along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics,"

the U.S. Southern Command announced in a post on social media.
The announcement said the boat was in international waters when
it was struck by Joint Task Force Southern Spear.

It was the 21st known attack on drug boats by the U.S. military since early September
in what it has called a justified effort to disrupt the flow of narcotics into the United States.
The strikes have killed more than 80 people, according to Pentagon figures.

Lawmakers in the U.S. Congress, human rights groups and U.S. allies have raised questions about the legality of the attacks. The Trump administration has said it has the legal authority to carry out the strikes,
with the Justice Department providing a legal opinion that justifies them and argues that U.S. military personnel who carry out the operations are immune from prosecution.

Also on Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the State Department would designate an alleged drug organization, Cartel de los Soles, as a "foreign terrorist organization," which makes it a crime for anyone in the United States to provide material support to the group. U.S. officials have accused Cartel de los Soles of working with the criminal organization Tren de Aragua to send narcotics to the United States.

The Trump administration has said Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro leads Cartel de Los Soles, which he denies. The Pentagon has deployed warships, fighter jets and a nuclear submarine to the Caribbean as U.S. officials consider taking military action against the Maduro government.

Regarding boat strikes off the coast of Venezuela, Trump said, “Every boat that we knock out we save 25,000 American lives.”

Trump said the five boats the U.S. military has struck off the coast of Venezuela were carrying drugs heading to the U.S. However, experts on drugs and Venezuela told PolitiFact the country plays a minor role in trafficking drugs that reach the U.S.

The administration has provided no evidence about the type or quantity of drugs it says were on the boats. This lack of information makes it impossible to know how many lethal doses of the drugs could have been destroyed.

Even if the boats were carrying 25,000 lethal drug doses each, that doesn’t mean that destroying them saved 125,000 lives. There were 73,000 U.S. drug overdose deaths from May 2024 to April 2025. That means the drugs on five boats would have been responsible for 125,000 deaths, nearly double the number of U.S. overdose deaths in one year.

The amount of drugs that are stopped from entering the U.S. doesn’t indicate how many lives were saved.

We rate Trump’s statement Pants on Fire!

Treasury Sanctions Venezuelan Cartel Headed by Maduro
July 25, 2025
WASHINGTON — Today, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned the Cartel de los Soles (a.k.a. Cartel of the Suns) as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist.  Cartel de los Soles is a Venezuela-based criminal group headed by Nicolas Maduro Moros and other high-ranking Venezuelan individuals in the Maduro regime that provides material support to foreign terrorist organizations threatening the peace and security of the United States, namely Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel.

“Today’s action further exposes the illegitimate Maduro regime’s facilitation of narco-terrorism through terrorist groups like Cartel de los Soles,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “The Treasury Department will continue to execute on President Trump’s pledge to put America First by cracking down on violent organizations including Tren de Aragua, the Sinaloa Cartel, and their facilitators, like Cartel de los Soles.”

And

The Department of State intends to designate Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), effective November 24, 2025. Based in Venezuela, the Cartel de los Soles is headed by Nicolás Maduro and other high-ranking individuals of the illegitimate Maduro regime who have corrupted Venezuela’s military, intelligence, legislature, and judiciary. Neither Maduro nor his cronies represent Venezuela’s legitimate government. Cartel de los Soles by and with other designated FTOs including Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel are responsible for terrorist violence throughout our hemisphere as well as for trafficking drugs into the United States and Europe.

The United States will continue using all available tools to protect our national security interests and deny funding and resources to narco-terrorists.

Well done, those men.
