Australia has worlds most expensive housing costs

5 Australian cities in the top 15 for most expensive housing.

Treasury reports say AnAl isn't going to meet his building numbers.

Quote:

For example, to hit the 1.2 million new homes target we need to massively boost the number of dwellings being approved to be built and then constructed.

But the most recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows the number of houses being approved is below the number in 2012.

Not only is that the same as a time when Australia had a much smaller population, it's nowhere near the boost required.

Labor has no solution to this problem they're importing millions of immigrants to increase demand on housing.

I am pretty sure that table leaves out some of the most expensive places.

There was a period in the 80s when a few square kilometres of downtown Tokyo was worth more than the rest of the world combined.

In Melbourne you can pay 300K to 600K for a one bedroom apartment
25 km or more out of Melbourne's CBD.
You don't get much these days for your money.
You could have bought a 3 bedroom house for $150K
25 years ago at the same distance away.
These days that same house is over $1 million.

It's cheaper to buy a prison cell Unit in a high rise apartment in Australia. Which means they want more people in that living condition, than space wasting houses which have become expensive. Repayments are cheaper than renting a Unit.
Now there's rich Woollara in Sydney. They're going to re-establish the derelict train station so the poor can access the suburb. The rich there don't want the station operational. It keeps the scum out. I'm sure the rich will move out of their million dollar mansions, with the influx of poor hitting their suburb. Will free up more land to build more high rise slums.

Europe or at least rural Europe is beyond cheap compared to Australia.

Australia Largest island in the world, most natural resources in the world, highest paid politicians in the world, poo, expensive place to live.

Go figure?

To be fair we do too a degree have free healthcare after you pay for your gp appointment ( $80) and the ambulance ( thousands )but eventually you will arrive in hospital and wait one or two days before a training doctor gets to practice on you for free!!!!!
