Trump to blame for Texas flood deaths
Jul 11th, 2025 at 8:47am

It is abundantly clear that Trump is directly responsible for the deaths that occurred as a result of the flooding in Texas. He gutted the Weather Service that could have given some warning of the impending danger. He gutted FEMA, with his Sec. of Homeland Security also putting in place red tape that would cost lives and hampered a swift response. Just more incompetence from an administration of amateurs who should have stuck to reality TV shows.

Serious question, are you retarded?

The Weather Service did a good job with the information you had here. I don't think the staffing cuts contributed to this," said Andy Hazelton, a climate scientist who was laid off from NOAA where he modelled hurricane paths.

While experts say the National Weather Service issued alerts in a timely manner over the weekend, the deadly incident carries warnings about what could happen if the NWS and NOAA are not properly staffed and funded in the future

Yep.  He's 100% to blame.

And to rub salt in the wounds, he hasn't even visited the site yet - he's too busy playing golf, stuffing up tariff deals, burying the Epstein files and hosting war criminals at the White House.

All because Project 2025 links accurate weather forecasting with climate change, and wants to gut the very institutions that give us the data, recommending the downsizing and commercialisation of NOAA because they see it as part of the "climate change alarm industry".

Now, a deep-red state is drowning, literally, and their Governor's response is to dismiss accountability as "loser talk". All to keep people from noticing that the red on their MAGA hats isn't just fabric dye anymore, it's blood.

MAGA really are stupid.

Trump dragged his feet, delaying the Major Disaster Declaration until July 6, 2025, long after the floods had begun. That declaration was supposed to kickstart FEMA's involvement. But thanks to Kristi Noem's new policy requiring her personal sign-off on anything over $100k, FEMA's Urban Search and Rescue teams weren't authorised to deploy for over 72 hours. They finally arrived on Monday, July 7, far too late for many.

And yet, in contrast, a Mexican rescue team from Coahuila's Protección Civil and Bomberos de Acuña got the call from Texas EquuSearch, left Mexico at 5 a.m. on July 6, and were in Kerr County that same day helping Texans escape rising waters.

Think about that: after all the demonisation from Trump, all the border wall theatre, all the race-baiting, Mexico still got boots on the ground before the US federal government.

Say it louder: MAGA really are stupid.

In all seriousness, I have never in all my life seen a level of stupidity that comes anywhere close to that of MAGA.

It's both sad and frightening that people that stupid are walking around in society.

A position specifically designated to provide early warning of these types of events was vacated as part of the Trump administration purge at the Weather Service and that role remains unfilled. Serious question - are you retarded so greatly you just blindly accept the lies and misinformation Trump says as gospel? Of course you are!

Staff and equipment from FEMA, which falls under the purview of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, couldn’t be deployed for more than 72 hours AFTER the disaster unfolded because she had put into place a requirement that such resources needed her personal approval. As with all disasters, time is crucial and because of red tape created by her, the FEMA response was hamstrung for more than 3 days!

She was probably too busy getting Botox injections and hair extensions.

ICE Barbie is an oxygen thief who I wouldn't trust to run a lemonade stand let alone the DHS.

A truly vile, repugnant creature.

But again, yes: the Trump administration is to blame for the deaths of all those children in Texas.

Did you hear what Trump said when he visited the disaster area?

No?

Of course you didn't, because he hasn't bothered to visit.

That is wrong. The National Weather Service gave flash flood warnings. They can only work if people pay attention.

"On Friday morning, heavy rains led to catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River in central Texas.

Tragically, it appears that at least fifty people lost their lives.

But what is particularly disturbing is that the National Weather Service (NWS) provided excellent warnings and forecasts before the event that clearly predicted a substantial threat.

And yet, no attempt at evacuation was made.

Furthermore, weather model forecasts indicated the potential for a major precipitation event over this historically flood-prone region during the prior days."
